NillI had to file a claim with Customer Service to get back the money that was taken out of my checking account when this hotel double charged us. They charged my school district's credit card AND my personal debit card that I had used to reserve the rooms. In all my years of doing UIL Academics, I have never had such trouble with billing/charges. If you take your team here, be careful. I will not be back here.

★★Stayed Feb. 2025 to attend an event at the Moody Center. It is a strenuous, often uphill, walk from the Doubletree, senior citizens will find it challenging. The hotel is a typical Doubletree, no complaint about the facilities. ||After we arrived, ending a long day doing the airport thing, our plan was to have a drink at the hotel bar and order food from there, which we did. We enjoyed our drinks, wait staff brought out condiments for our dinner, and we waited. After 45 minutes, a gentleman, who appeared to be the kitchen cook, came to our table and told us we would not be served food that night. Thereafter was a confrontation between the cook and bar wait staff. By this time, it was 8:15pm, and we were hungry. We went to the front desk, and asked to see the manager. The desk clerk said the manager not available, so we told her our experience. She apologized, said she would talk to manager and someone would get back to us.||So the desk clerk later called, said she talked to the manager, and offered to pay our food bill when we said we ordered from Door Dash from our room. Not looking for a free meal, but the drinks were taken off our bill. ||This is not a huge hotel. If I were in management, I would have grabbed a cheap bottle of wine from the bar, a couple of glasses and some soda crackers to take to the flustered guests, and apologized for the bar staff - cook disconnect which resulted in a failure of service. That’s what keeps you from a bad review. ||Decent hotel. Management/employee issues.

★★★★To be fair - recent reviews cited double charging on a number of items. We did not experience any overcharging. ||The good: First, staff are exceptional to include the front desk . Shout out to Martha and Brittany! They are customer focused and helped make the trip so enjoyable. Well done!||Second, room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and the water flow while not exceptional was good. We did hear some traffic noise but it was not bad…or as terrible as mentioned in other reviews. ||Third, the credit offered for Hilton Honors members is a great benefit! $15 per person or $30 dollars total is nice. ||Fourth, parking costs were also called out as an issue. Yes, it’s expensive, but so are most hotels. Finding a hotel without a parking fee is more unique than many may believe in urban areas. In more rural areas I have been charged for parking - it’s part of the fee structure now. ||The Cons/Nits: not to many. The elevator is old and does rock around a bit…but that’s not unusual. Our room was not cleaned on Christmas Day - but that’s okay. I can make my own bed and the staff were given a day off to spend with family. So that was okay with me! ||Overall - it was a good experience. Give the place a try for its location to downtown.

NillI stayed here while doing research at the LBJ Library. The walk is about 20-25 minutes which I do not mind. The rooms are neat and clean. Each night I got a drink at the bar and Jerome has been a fantastic bar tender. He provided great service and even better conversations.

NillThe rooms and bathrooms are a little dated but clean and nice. No problems with things not working but it would be nice to have an outlet near the desk for working. Great location, easy to get an uber. Would def stay here again

★★★The staff was very kind & courteous and the room was nice but no microwaves. The worst part was $35 to park a car daily in the Denny’s parking lot. My charge was $35.02. The most I’ve ever paid to park a car overnight in a Hilton lot. The location is great too!

NillI can't stand when a place of business hides fees. Hotel looks great on the 1st floor, nice bar and fancy. All of the rooms are basic just like any other hotel though.. np. Except this one costs more once they MAKE YOU PAY TO PARK! $35 plus tax to park our vehicle on THEIR PROPERTY for 1 night. That's crazy! Breakfast looks to be your regular hotel breakfast on a buffet. I'm not paying $20 for it though.
