Hotel Settles

Great great great!! I do not give out 5 star reviews unless it's deserved. This place deserves 5 stars! Very clean renovated hotel. There's not much to look at in big spring but this hotel will shock you. Outside yes it's a hotel but when you go inside, it's like going back in time! The history of this place is everywhere you walk around. Smells so clean and everything is neat and tidy. Beautiful grand staircases you can walk up and just view the grand ballroom or all the scenery from the past in pictures and places. Everything from the 1930's was kept and renovated. The hotel staff is amazing! Very friendly and proper. The inside bar was really nice and classy and the bartender made great drinks. Go to the other side and the indoor restaurant is so quaint and surreal. The food was top notch! I'll be going back just to visit this hotel again!

This is a nice hotel. Rooms are great and comfy. However the staff is very rude. Ill be waiting at the bar and the servers were more focused on their friends then us. We went to get drinks at a store nearby and came back to the lobby to chill. The front desk told us we needed to leave and go to our rooms or order from the bar only. I travel and stayed at many hotels for business and I've never had issues like these. This hotel mostly caiters to locals. I would recommend another hotel if you are looking to relax after a long day.

Cool hotel. Good service at the front desk and in the bar. The bar food was great. Pool , hot tub and shower are great. Our room, 302 was small, peeling tub and sink. Carpet and walls super dirty and the room has an overwhelming smell of cleaning solution. Window curtain wouldn't go up or down and falling apart. Ceiling fan was very dusty. Maybe they have updated rooms that people stayed that left good reviews. Ours was not! Doubt we would stay again, unfortunately because the building and interior are very pretty.

Stayed in October 2024, a family member recommended the hotel to us and I'm so glad we listened. Great Hotel & fantastic restaurant attached. (The best Chicken Fried steak I've ever had) The next time we're out that way we will be staying again or we will just make an excuse and come stay anyway.

Hotel Settles is the best hotel we've stayed in in quite a while. It is vintage, but not old and dingy, everything is clean and so nice. The bathroom is huge. The room was very spacious. The food in the restaurant was very good. The service was excellent. It was a wonderful experience.

If you are driving across Texas and going through Big Spring, stay here! Lovely rooms, excellent bar, incredibly comfortable beds. Sad part is looking to the east and seeing black smoke from oil field flares in the evening and yellow haze in the morning.

We stayed at Hotel Settles in Big Spring, TX, for Thanksgiving 2024. The hotel has been beautifully restored and is the perfect mix of historical preservation and modern amenities. Our room was very clean and the staff was excellent. We ate at Settles Grill and had reservations for the Thanksgiving buffet. Both were wonderful. They also have a coffee table book for sale and on display in the lobby that tells the history of the hotel from its original construction through its downfall and restoration to what it is today. If you love historic hotels and delicious food, Hotel Settles is definitely worth visiting!

Beautiful hotel and fabulous customer service! From checkin with Gabriel to checkout with Garbriella, everyone was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We requested an accessible room, which was huge with an enormous shower. Bar was good, food was outstanding. And the music playlist in the public areas was varied and entertaining.
