Bluff's Landing Lodge

We had been planning to try this place out for a while. It turned out to be a not so pleasant stay. The room was nice and clean but the a/c was leaking water inside the room and had a bucket overflowing at the bottom. We happened to hear water trickling onto the floor. Then there was the a/c at the next door neighbors room that sounded like the compressor was about to fail and making a very loud winding noise. We couldn’t even enjoy sitting outside because of it. The desk clerk said to use some ear plugs. I couldn’t believe it. Then to top it all off a couple of days later after we were home we noticed they charged us twice. I would not recommend this place. But if you like that type of service. Have at it.

Used to be a great place to eat and launch until they closed the Laguna Reef restaurant and kicked out the first responders. Might be a good place for a tourist, but the locals dont care for them. They don’t care too much for our community.

The hotel is in a great place, and is clean and well maintained. The AC was out in our room and they had a small stand alone unit that could not keep up with the Texas heat. Been here twice now and that has been my only complaint, besides the fire alarm going off at 5:15 Sunday morning. All in all would stay again.

Overall great experience, first time to the beach & being in the ocean!! There were only 3 issues that we had, none of which were brought up to any staff member since we never got back to the room until after the office was closed. We stayed in room 102, Alejandro was great and he has amazing customer service. The deadbolt on the door did not lock at all, so we had to rely on the little hook lock on the door, we barely had any water pressure (which it could've been that way in every room, not a huge deal), and the A/C unit in the room was very loud (it whined and clanged), which none of these issues I felt warranted complaining and/or switching rooms. The stay overall was great, the room was comfortable and stayed cool. It wasn't a big room, but it had all the things we needed. I would definitely stay here again if I am going to Corpus Christi in the future. Thank you!!

Our experience was horrible. We arrived June 21st 2024 around 3:15 pm , check in is at 3:00pm, we reserved over 5 rooms , all rooms except one was ready for check in, I had to personally help housekeeping finish cleaning our rooms so it could be done. They weren’t done till almost 4:30pm ||POOL CLOSE AT 5:00pm || Saturday June 22nd we left early to go have breakfast and spend the day at the beach, we didn’t get back till after 7:30 pm , we had one more family member that reserved their room for Saturday check in check in stated to be from 3:00pm-10:00pm. Like stated before we arrived before 8:00pm, no one was in the office to get keys for Saturday reservation. I call all numbers, someone finally answered and said they’re was something wrong with our reservation, this person never answered again after stating they would call me back after calling General manager, I called over 10x and no one answered. We finally ask someone that lives next door to the motel , they get in touch with one of the workers and states GM Mike is on his way. ||||GM Mike shows up with over 3 police officers and says we are trasspassing, says all 5 family’s have to leave. The reasoning behind us having to leave is because some teenagers sneaked into the pool that morning, even though we left early to the beach, plus children in our groups were all under 8 with 2 teenagers that are old enough to know better, he then changes his mind and says we can stay after I explained that we’ve been gone all day. We didn’t get our Saturday reservation room till after 10 pm. All staff is unprofessional, and low key racist , assuming a big group of Hispanics were staying in one room when we had over 5+ rooms. Location is nice and rooms were ok, sucks that pool closes at 5pm so we weren’t even able to enjoy that. I will not be booking again. No microwaves in room just a mini fridge

We planned on staying from 5/25-5/27 so a short fun trip. When we got there we found some dead cockroaches in the master bedroom and did a sweep of the place and there was food under some of the beds and socks in the dryer I’m assuming house keeping didn’t do there job. Called the manager she came down and was super remorseful, polite and said she would refund one night as everything was booked and we couldn’t switch apartments, then I asked for cleaning supply’s and she said someone would be by and do a deep clean of the place. We figured we didn’t see any more Roaches so we would toughen it out and if everything went smooth we’d stay. Well it didn’t that morning we all went to shower and get ready and lo and behold live roaches 🪳 coming outta the towel cabinet. I could not nor would not try to toughen it out, no showers we packed up all our stuff and left. The manager was super friendly when she came the night before and you could tell she was trying her best. Online it says the place is sanitized between guest that’s a lie or there wouldn’t have been food under the some beds or on the floor no wonder there was roaches 🪳 I’m not from here so to me this isn’t normal, idk if it’s normal for the place. Worst experience for the start of our vacation. A full refund would have been ideal, but we did stay one night waiting for the other half still hasn’t came though we shall see. We booked on booking.com

Recent changes at the marina have really negatively affected our community. Kicking out the first responders from their slip? Clearly there is something fundamentally wrong with management. I will not be spending any money at the marina, hotel or restaurant. I would advise others to stay away as well unless they clean up their act and work with, not against the community.

1st time to take a overnight trip to the Corpus area. A local friend said this was a good place that has been renovated and expanded recently. I went with my daughter and we had a blast. The proximity to the Laguna Madre was perfect as we had a fishing trip planned. The room was very clean and the renovations came out very nice. The staff were very professional and there was great communication before/during/after my stay. The location is a bit far from some of the areas like Port A that we wanted to check out, but the drive to/from the other water front areas was so scenic and great, I did not mind the 20 - 30 minutes to took to get there. I would definitely stay again!
