You pay for the location, not the room. Lots of damage to the hotel with lots of DIY fixes that look cheaply done. We only had housekeeping come one day, and they took our trash & towels but did not replace towels or trash bags and nothing else was done in the room. When we attempted to call front desk to replenish towels/trash bags the phone just rang and rang with no answer. The elevators are SMALL & busy, easier to take the stairs. The pool chairs are chained up for the beach. The bar is not associated with the hotel- but on site. The girls were really friendly and made good drinks. It appeared that the general public was using the pool then leaving after their beach day so it was pretty crowded and the chairs/pool etc have seen much better days. You have to pay a resort fee, along with quite a bit for daily parking. The only coffee in our room was decaf, and there was none in the lobby. The bed/pillows were comfortable. Again, you pay for the location to be right on the water. The room/hotel is fine if you don't have high standards so was okay for us.

I stayed here years ago when it was a Holiday Inn and loved it. What a difference a few years makes. It is now a Windham Resort. Resort??? This is no resort. We are currently staying here. The breakfast that was supposed to be served until 10:00 am, was a joke. We got o the lobby at 9:00 am. There were no pancakes like we were told there would be. There was literally one banana, 2 old tiny pastries, 2 bagels and coffee. We saw other people come to the lobby, turn around and leave to go get breakfast. |One of the small wall mount bed side lights does not work. The lamp usb port, does not work. 3 of the balconies facing the ocean have very bright lights that cannot be turned off. We have one of those rooms. It shines in the room and attracts bugs when you go in and out of the room. So now we have flying bugs in our room. This light should be able to be turned off. The front desk said it cannot be turned off. The plug in the bathroom doesn’t work, the latch on the front door is missing, so the door doesn’t close properly, the balcony door lock doesn’t work properly. The drain in the bathroom sink doesn’t work properly. |A very disappointing stay.

This hotel was a great last minute value find. Upon checking in there was a guest having an issue. The front desk staff assisted her with the concerns and questions meanwhile a long line was starting to build. The staff never rushed their guest having the issue and made sure to acknowledge those waiting and thanked me for my patience. I was in no rush so I had no problem waiting and seeing the staff help resolve a problem. The hotel staff was seen constantly cleaning up sand in the lobby and picking up around the hotel. There were a couple cleanliness issues in my room but they were minor and can be overlooked with the low rate and off season slowdowns. Unfortunately there is a resort fee even though there were no real resort amenities. I saw the beach chairs stacked up and other things that would certainly be enjoyable in the warmer months. The restaurant is also not open yet, I would have eaten there if it was an option. Overall the hotel was great for an offseason quick getaway trip.

This place is all about location. The closest you can get to the beach. They had a DJ at night out on the patio, which over looked the beach. It was amazing. There is an indoor outdoor bar with a pool table and pool. The rooms are okay, nice beds and pillows but nothing special. The rates were pretty good. The service was not the best to be honest. Would book here again just for the location. You can tell that the hurricanes have done some damage through the years. Owners really needs to come in and start some maintenance projects. Specially to the elevators. We took the stairs most of the time.

Upon check in, we were informed of an 11 dollar resort fee paid to the hotel because they had a gym and laundry (self pay of course) and a restaurant (closed ) and an additional charge for parking, anywhere on the property. These charges added over 20 dollars to the cost per night in addition to the 100 dollar incidental deposit added that will be refunded in 3 to 5 days. The room itself however, was nice, clean and modern. Hotel staff was nice and informative in spite of my aggravation at the superfluous charges. I suppose if this was a vacation I could have dealt with the additional charges because it is a nice location, but since this was business I simply needed a bed, minus the "resort"

My family and I decided to take a last minute trip to the Coast, we had previously stayed at this establishment when it was owned by Holiday Inn. We expected the same service but when we arrived at 2 pm we opted to pay the $60.00 early check in due to having two toddlers. When we got to our room, it was musty, the bathroom was dirty, there was holes in the bathroom walls where they tried to fix a lock but did not patch the previous holes, and one of our beds had soiled linen. I called down to the front desk 3 times before I finally got someone to come up with no linens, I was told by this staff member who’s name was Jay I believe that there were no more blankets in the hotel. I then went down to the front desk to ask to speak with a manager and was told there was none. The young lady helped me by getting us a new blanket. The next day we had a gentleman come by with towels, I asked if our trash and room would be cleaned and he said yes. By the end of our second day we had no toilet paper, full trash bins either dirty diapers. I again called and asked for the basic necessities, trash bags and toilet paper, we did not receive these items until 9 pm. Upon check out the following morning I was met by a lady named Christine, she was very kind and apologized for our experience, she mentioned it was her first day. A lady by the name Joanne came out from a back room and immediately started making excuses, that they are short staffed and laundry had not been done so there was a linen shortage. When I mentioned that clean bedding and toilet paper is expected when paying over $200.00 a night, she stuck her hand out and said “I wasn’t talking to you!” Then proceeded to say she didn’t care what I said and that I could leave, because I had already been checked out. Joanne should not be working in customer service or in any industry where respect is needed, she is verbally aggressive and threatening with her gestures. I have called corporate who informed me that this is privately owned. They also don’t claim the bar outside but have it on their amenities and they allow anyone off the street to use their pool which was filthy. Do not stay at this establishment.

The hotel room is solid. But I swear everything in this hotel is out for maintenance. The pool table. The karaoke machine. The pool. Also the breakfast terrible. Both that there was no selection. But also I'm pretty sure the milk I got was sour. And the waffles were frozen and freshly dethawed that morning. That being said, the price for the room was great. Also you have to pay for parking. It's like 20 bucks a day.

We booked the Wyndham for a few days away with friends, and our stay just happened to coincide with the cold, stormy weather that hit the east and south. So I won't hold the Wyndham responsible for the weather! Still, here's my honest review of our experience. The rooms were poorly designed and a bit shabby. The bed, linens, pillows, and towels were OK. "Breakfast" consisted of white bread, bagels, muffins, and two types of cold cereal, with lukewarm coffee. The Keurig machine was broken. With as few guests that were in the hotel, it would have been better, and probably cheaper, for the Wyndham to just offer breakfast vouchers to a local restaurant if they can't be bothered to put on a reasonably nice breakfast buffet. The pool and hot tub were not operational. No bar or restaurant was open. The views of the beach from our room were outstanding, though. The staff people were universally wonderful; kind and helpful and chatty. If we go back, it won't be in the winter, when the hotel seems to shut down.
