In mid-October of 2024, Our experience with RUDE ROOF INN, the name needs to change to reflect the truth. If I could give this place a 0 Star, I would, based on the VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL behavior of the Female person operating the front desk! We drove all night (12 hours) to get here to see my father, who was in the local hospital in critical condition. We went here first, as they seemed to be the most reasonably priced for the area and we were uncertain how long we would need to stay. When we got there, nobody was at the front desk. A very nice cleaning lady finally walked by and was kind enough to tell us the lady who operates the front desk had gone to the bank and would be back in 15 minutes. Well, 25 minutes later, a very sour-looking woman strolled in and made sure not to make eye contact with us. She went behind the counter and then hid in the back. We had to go up to the desk and call out to get her attention, even though she knew we were there the moment she walked in. She finally strolled out and "arrogantly" said check-in is at 2:00 pm and she would assist us then. We then let her know we did not have a reservation and just had questions about our potential stay here. She reiterated that check-in is at 2:00 pm and she would assist us then. We informed her that she was being very unprofessional and that was no way to treat potential customers. We then told her we would reach out to her Corporate office to advise them of her behavior and she very snidely smiled at us and waved goodbye. Needless to say, we immediately left. We ended up at a hotel that was closer to the hospital and the people at the front desk were cordial and very kind to us. They offered us a price that was cheaper than the "Rude Roof Inn" and on a day-by-day basis due to our circumstances. They also took care of all our relatives that followed, offering them the same low rates and kindness. We were there for almost 2 weeks, so they lost a lot of business because of her. In hindsight, that very rude lady did us a favor! After looking at their reviews online, looks like we dodged a bullet! So remember, check the reviews, ALWAYS!

Great hotel for passing through. It felt safe even though I came in at night and the staff was awesome. They don't have breakfast but it's fine because it's only a short drive to a bunch of food options, as this hotel is right outside town. Bed was comfortable and clean, but the floors were sticky and there were some stains in the bathroom. Nothing major, it was just not quite clean.

We arrived with two cats and got checked in. We brought the cats up first and unlocked the room, but it WAS ALREADY OCCUPIED. Someone was asleep in the bed. My wife had to sit there and wait with two cats corralled, as I had to run to the lobby and get us a new room. "Oh, there shouldn't be someone else in there." Well... There was! We slept with a deadbolt and our suitcase blocking the door in case someone else got assigned to our new room too. Also there's no parking. They're cool with trucks triple parking.

Initially, they assigned us a room on the 3rd floor. The door was wide open, and you could see that the bed was dirty. Immediately, my wife asked me to cancel our stay and book another hotel. However, the front desk said it wasn’t possible to cancel. Instead, they offered us another room. The front desk also asked me to go upstairs and close the door of the 3rd-floor room myself because they didn’t have anyone else available to do it. Additionally, they charged a deposit of $100 to my credit card, which they said would be refunded after they cleaned the room. This wasn’t a hold but an actual charge that would supposedly be refunded after they checked the room. Although the room was clean, and nothing was missing, they only refunded $93.65 with no explanation for the difference. I would never recommend this hotel, dirty, bad service and old beds.

Literally the worst Red Roof I've ever stayed in. First, they gave us a room that someone was already in. "Well no one should be in there" Ok, well did you give us the right room, and did housekeeping even go in? To the lady we walked in on, I'm so sorry. Next, there was no parking available because of the large trucks that took 8-9 spaces each. The room? Disgusting. There's literally pee on the bathroom door. Photo attached. If you're driving through, stay in the one in West El Paso. I haven't been there, but I can't imagine it's worse than this.

Positive: "" Negative: My room at this "top booked" hotel was gross. The bedspread had a cigarette burn hole, the floors had not been mopped or vacuumed. There were chip crumbs on the rug, trash was stuck to the doorframe, and the bathroom trash had not been emptied.

I had a reservation for 24th through 28th of Dec at the Red Roof Inn + El Paso East. we checked in on the 24th and 3 hours later had to check out to head back home due to death in the family. We had booked through booking.com and they have repeated reached out the Red Roof Inn El Paso East to have the manager send them a written statement that they approve the refund for the remaining nights we didn't stay. I have also for the last month called, emailed and spoke to Erica abd Christopher at the front desk several time request a call from the manager. I emailed the email address given to me by Christopher and left voice message on the Manager line with NO RESPONSE in over a month. Erica stated that the manager agreed to the refund yet the property will not respond to booking.com request for written agreement. Never will I stay at any Red Roof Inn in any location ever again. Horrible way to treat a greiving customer.
