My husband and I had a wild hair to just take a nice drive west and we came across this place for breakfast. Service was phenomenal and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back!

We wanted a quiet respite for our anniversary, which was on a Monday. There was good communication for how to access our room but didn’t see anyone when we got there about 5 pm. The building is not necessarily impressive until you walk in — and it’s darling. I believe we may have had the whole place to ourselves since it was a Monday. We were in Room #2. Room was cool, bed comfy with an added pillow top, and plenty of hot water with fabulous water pressure! Several areas to sit throughout the building to enjoy a glass of wine, and there was a little coffee bar with a Keurig. Weekends are best to enjoy their wine bar, gift shop and Sunday Brunch. When you stay, be sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. They do offer a small bottle of bath wash and there is plenty of towels. I would just suggest to the owner to consider getting a countertop ice maker for the coffee area, we would have liked to refill our cups with ice water.

“Antique” Hotel - Fantastic place ! Sort of Spartan Luxury. Nicely decorated, well maintained old structure. The grounds are meticulously thought out as well. Right on “the town square.” Our room was free of a one eyed monster. No mini-frig. Everything else it best of the best. Very happy to rest here for the night.

This hotel is a renovated and wonderful version of the Old Country Place Hotel. New owners and both are accomplished chefs in their own right. The hotel is beautiful and artfully decorated. They offer an amazing brunch every Sunday and the food and presentation are both awesome. It is all you can eat for a modest price and includes eggs Benedict and Creme brûlée French toast along with a Texas hash and 2 different frittatas. They have a Belgian waffle that was delicious as well. Juice, tea or coffee is included. And they start you off with biscuits the size of Dallas!! And of course they offer scrambled eggs and bacon. There was a wonderful musician playing beautiful songs from the 70’s on his trumpet. All in all, it was a lovely day. I highly recommend it

The grand Fayetteville Hotel was nothing but an amazing adventure. The old style architecture mashed and congruity with the Aesthetics of the pleasing atmosphere of the town. The restaurant connected with the hotel had Absolutely Fabulous Five star rated food that we have enjoyed not only during the visit but afterwards as well. The entire Adventure is definitely a five-star and I would recommend personally anyone to Adventure there in.

The Wine Bar in this hotel is wonderful. They serve a Sunday brunch that is all you can eat and it is amazing. Eggs Benedict and Texas Trash and Belgian waffles and more. It is yummy. The service is excellent and the ambiance is lovely. Nice way to spend a Sunday.

We were looking for a quiet weekend retreat. This was it. The rooms were quiet, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff at the restaurant and wine bar downstairs were friendly so much fun to chat with, they really made the weekend. I've known the local Fayetteville residents are friendly since their reputation precedes them. It's all true. It was the most enjoyable time away from teenagers ever. 😄

The Grand Fayette Hotel is located on the Square in Fayetteville in a building that was formerly a department store circa 1900. For several years my friends and I stayed at this hotel when it was known as the Country Place Hotel. (Check the reviews that were written about it during that time. Very complimentary.) The new owners have updated the hotel; bedroom mattresses are plusher, interior lighting is more abundant, but unfortunately, the breakfast menu no longer includes the former owners' delicious blueberry muffins, casseroles, cereals, breads, fresh fruit and at least two juices along with coffee. It was evident back then that owners Maryann and Clovis Heimsath loved their work and their customers. The new owners are off site and the hotel has lost the ambiance that led us to stay there again and again. The breakfast menu is bleak: one main item and one or two sides. The small gift shop, which used to be open 24/7 for browsing is now padlocked in the evening. Wine is available in the evening, but it is no longer complimentary. The Grand Fayette's rates are those of a 4 star hotel yet it has neither a bellman to carry luggage to the upstairs rooms nor the flat screen TVs, front desk services or other niceties that warrant a 4 star rating. We will not stay there again.
