Holiday Inn Express Guesthouse

This place is great, and the service is absolutely top notch from the front desk, to the housekeeping staff, to the management. Everyone always goes out of their way to make sure that you are enjoying your stay. Most recently, I was working in the dining area, and I had a bit of a runny nose. One of the maintenance works came over and handed me a box of tissues without my even having to ask. They are attentive to their customers around here, and that goes a long way.

Staff was great. Very polite and professional. Rooms were good, some furniture would need to be repaired or replaced. Water pressure a bit weak in shower. And location was good. Close to freedoms crossing.

Not sure how you have 2 stars. The place is wore out. My room is simple and standard. It took 15min to get hot water warm and another wait of 30min to reset hot water tank to get hot. Not to appealing. AC works great filters clean. One previous guest wash cloth left on shower rod, kinda nasty QA is needed. $122 a nite Not really worth the stay at this location. All customer service was outstanding to fix issues.

Start with the good - very friendly and efficient staff. Probably the best part of this visit. Location is ok, close to freedom crossing. Rooms are average at best. Small. No hot water and weak water pressure. Cold showers. Breakfasts are average. No oatmeal, no milk for cereal.

Other than not having fresh linens one day, it was fine, breakfast was good, nice hotel. I only stayed three nights. The elevator is kind of slow.

Wonderfully front desk and maintenance staff. Love the pool and grills! Rooms were okay. We got moved to a second pet friendly room. Could not get the smell of urine out of the bathroom, floors throughout room sticky or greasy, even after using my own cleaning supplies. Room keys repeatedly didn't work. Beds comfortable, pillows comfortable, nice bedding, and fresh towels daily. Mini kitchenette was awesome. Loved the free laundry facility. Breakfast was okay, but very simple, with not much variety from day to day. Hotel was close to major shopping area on Fort Bliss, with movie theater and restaurants. I expect more especially since the hotel serves our military personnel. We stayed 7 days.

TDY. No hot water for all 4 nights I stayed. Brought issue to management but was never resolved. The last night I stayed I was offered to switch rooms but too late at that point for me. I was given a 5,000 points for the hassle, but that’s not really any kind of compensation. Whether TDY, PCS, or leave, I can choose my lodging and I chose this one for the location. However. Next time I am at Bliss I will stay off post and would encourage anyone else to do so as well.
