NillSince I originally bought here, maybe someone can help me figure out how to get help. I was completely mistreated and kicked out of my owners meeting in Scottsdale, told i had no right to make any upgrades or changes, and after I nicely sat thru 2 hour meeting was told i could not get my reward. It was discrimination because I told them about my cancer diagnosis. Please help, no one from HICV will help me and this went down in Nov. I deserve to be released from my contract if they claim it all unaccessible.

NillMy husband and I were so excited to stay here. It seemed like the pool we would be using would be the one looking out into the ocean. The perks seemed like a great place to stay here. Instead we got put way in the back of the “resort”. The beautiful pool they posted is for certain guests only and across two busy streets from where people stay. This place seems luxury online but it’s definitely not. Although the room was spacious it definitely has not be updated in a very long time. We also got eaten alive by the mosquitoes coming in and out of the room. We definitely will never stay here again.

★★★You are literally 13 miles from EVERYTHING Galveston. Although outside of the hustle and bustle of the island you better bring your bug spray since the mosquitos will try to take you away due to the cattle farm next door. The advertised infinity pool, gym, and nicer units are not for IHG members so don't let that fool you. This is a timeshare location, and they will try, and have you sign up for a presentation, in our experience the guest services employee was very nice to us until we didn't want to attend a presentation. When we woke up at 7:30 the morning after arrival to our room being 80-degrees we called the front desk from the unit's phone and reported the outage, when we had heard nothing by 9am we walked to the front desk and our issue had not been relayed. Maintenance was at our unit within the hour, and they did go buy a free-standing AC unit to try and cool the 85-degree room down. By 3pm with no AC and wasting a whole day of our vacation we ended up moving units. FYI be aware that there are no elevators to the units, so after about 100 trips up and down 4 flights of stairs we moved across the parking lot. The employees of the activity center were very nice, but the arcade is ridiculously expensive. I honestly expected better due the amount paid nightly. Personally, my family will try a different IHG location when we go back to Galveston. This one was just not for us.

NillI have a timeshare here and I can’t use it. I cannot recommend Holiday Inn to anyone! They put on big presentations here and they will lie to you about the timeshare and the availability. They told me it could be used at their hotels or even hotels that aren’t not Holiday Inn. It does not book cruises or anything in other countries like they said either. I have been bringing this to their attention repeatedly and no one will give me the time of day. I was asked how to get out of this and they told me I would have to pay over $30,000 to do so. That is ridiculous by any standard. Between Tere French and Dylan Lapicki, they have scammed me for thousands of dollars and there is NO customer service. This timeshare is a RIPOFF and a waste of time!

★We never had an opportunity to enjoy the facility, although we did back in 2020. Enjoyed the resort then and thought we could enjoy it again while visiting family in Lake Jackson. Needless to say, that opportunity did not happen because the resort was closed because of hurricane Beryl. The sad part is the resort did not contact us by phone or e-mail, RCI who we booked through did not contact us. They are quick to contact us by phone and e-mail about renewing our membership. Extremely disappointed in RCI making no effort to contact us about the closure of the resort. I cannot even tell if we received credit for our trading points were credited. This is not an example of a world class operation if they cannot pick up the phone and call us that the resort is closed. Therefore, I cannot write about the facility and rooms because we never got past the front gate. We can definitely understand why it was closed, but cannot understand why we were not contacted and phone mail messages left that the resort was closed. Sad, Sad state of affairs.

★★★★★Stayed here for 4 nights with my family. Loved the apartment. It was clean, modern and had everything we needed. Having the bathroom toiletries and kitchen supplies were lovely. Bed was very comfortable and it was quiet at night. Staff were helpful and friendly. Even though we were on the main complex across the road from the cafe and pool by the beach, it was walking distance and easy to cross the road. Shame it closed at 7pm and nowhere else was open close by.

★★★★★This is probably the nicest place we have stayed on the island and we have stayed at the San Luis Resort. We got the signature villa on the side that is right on the beach. The room was beautiful! It had an amazing balcony with a table and 4 chairs. The furniture was pretty inside and there were 2 bedrooms with king beds. The secondary bedroom was hot… which would have been an issue if we were actually going to use it. But it was on the opposite side of the unit so we had our 2 year old sleep in the room with us. There is an infinity pool that was really nice with great views and beach access. There is a little cafe as well which was a nice perk. We ordered some food and drinks and ate by the pool. It was a bit expensive, our two night stay was around $740, but it was very nice and we felt it was worth the price. It was really far on San Luis pass. You have to drive past another Holiday inn club vacations to get to it. But that was kind of an attraction to us because it was more remote and quiet than the hustle and bustle of Seawall by the San Luis.

NillGreat location away from the main drag on Galveston. The room was a 2 room presidential lock-off. Not sure why they are rated a three star facility. 2 star at best. Room was surface clean only. Carpet was deep down dirty. My feet left black footprints on the white towels when I was getting in the shower. Beautiful room. Poorly maintined. Outlets in one kitchen were non functional. Fortunately they worked in the second kitchen so we used those. Fantastic jacuzzi bath. Overflow part of the drain was loose and the button for the jets wasn't attached right so kept getting jammed. It worked. Had a driving rain storm. Door to the front let water in and soaked the kitchen floor. Window in the studio wasn't sealed right.. Rain soaked my luggage and the carpets. Just really poor maintenance of the facility. Never heard a peep from any staff the whole week. Not a bad thing but I guess someone could have checked on us. Great view from our deck. Great location. Too bad they can't maintain the facilities.
