Red Roof Inn Lubbock

Mixed reviews on this place but I'm going to always be as honest and non biased as possible. This hotel has a great price point the location is a bit of a travel from everything but not bad enough to complain about. The interior could be a 5 star with better lighting and the pool area inside has a great touch to it for the family. Those rooms made the difference for me. Upgrade the rooms and the carpet leading up to the room and you have a 5 star spot. Or you can go up the street and for 20 dollars more be closer to everything with a better room experience.

It is difficult to express in words how badly I encourage you to never stay here. I will start with the good, the guy at the counter was kind, efficient, and friendly. I liked the dude. This place is so terrible that I genuinely felt bad for him for having to work there. Our room was gross. There was marinara sauce (I hope) on one of the beds. Hairs, spiders, all the good stuff. The bathroom was really not good. The beds were by far the worst beds I have ever slept on. I used to sleep on the floor of my old apartment for months at a time, so I am totally fine with hard beds. These were not hard beds. They were broken, lopsided beds that made loud noises when we initially laid down. Sounded like they snapped. Here's the worst part, across from our room was a busted door with paper taped over the window and no door handle. Literally, it was like they removed the door handle and never replaced it. We were very concerned by this, largely worried that there could be squatters, or something else dangerous. I peaked inside to find a bunch of old broken equipment, a gross bucket that had been catching leaks, and a bunch of trash. It was genuinely unsettling. It was also right by the door. So anyone could walk in and sleep there without the front-desk dude having any idea. This isn't just a bad hotel, it's a dangerous hotel. DO NO STAY HERE. Again, the workers were good, but the management should be embarrassed. I suspect it will be shut down in the next year or so.

Positive: NOTHINIG!!!!!. Got there and it was a dump. Upon entry it smelled. Water on all the floors in lobby due to pool water, accident waiting to happen. Negative: Rooms, disgusting, carpet sticky, kept my sock on the entire time. Bathroom sinks cracked tub questionable, no face towels in bathroom, curtains hanging from the rods, tape around windows. Star level should have been "0". HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY.

When calling the hotel, it will send you to a third party to book the room (which is fine by me). Rooms are a decent size. Has a small fridge, a microwave, Tv (no cable), 2 drawer dresser, nightstand and a desk with chair. The beds are extra firm; so not very comfortable, and they are Full Size, not Queen Size. Has an indoor pool and hot tub, no continental breakfast. But has a grill and bar. Pets ARE welcome at the hotel.

Do not stay here. Room walls full of holes and mold. Bathtub wasn’t clean, static on every tv channel, rust on every chrome surface. Cleaning lady smokin a blunt or joint while cleaning the room across from mine They tried to charge $10 bucks a towel for extra towels. I will be definitely calling the better business bureau.

Positive: it was pretty clean Negative: 1 The website states they have free breakfast and they do not have breakfast at all2. the elevator was not in service and our room was on the 3rd floor. I am disabled and it was very hard for to go up the stairs it took me 15min to get to my room!!

Positive: It was a cute atmosphere in the the lobby how it was decorated. The pool and hot tub were working and was good. Negative: The staff was so rude. I had to go to front desk 3 times because the keys to room wouldn't work. Also the TV and AC wouldn't work I called front desk and they never sent anyone to come fix it. The bathroom sink leaked all over the floor.

Frienly hotel clerk, Great rooms with fridge,microwave and coffee pot included. They also serve a small breakfast. It is not the breakfast you get at the Hilton, but at least they offer a bite to eat if you need it. They are pet friendly and an affordable option for most. The value you get is in my opinion far greater than the actual price of the room. Great value, and best deal for those that are trying to find the best deal.
