This was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in, and I travel a lot for work. As I was trying to kill the flying roach, I came across the French fries under the bed. No wonder there was a roach.. he was feasting on the fries that had been there for who knows how long. All I could think of is where there is one, there is always more! Please see attached photos. The other pictures I included were of the sprinklers. What the heck happened with the sprinklers?!?! There were huge spaces where bugs could get in and it honestly was a little creepy. This was supposed to be a newer hotel in Lubbock, but it definitely is already in need of some work. I checked out immediately and will not ever return. I do not recommend this hotel and would give it negative stars if that was an option.

1/5|2 days ago on Google|DIRTY HOTEL! Not your typical expectation for a Marriott hotel. Hotel is fairly new for it to be in such dire need of cleaning and repairs. Even the sidewalks outside are dirty entering building. Hotel is built cheaply looking. Hallways are painted black so very dark, and rooms are bizarre. Furniture in lobby has stained circles on couches and overall dirty. I would not have set on it. Breakfast area is odd…you place your order for a fee and the desk staff goes back and cooks it for you and brings it out. Elevator carpet is nasty, as well as the elevator buttons and walls entering elevator. Rugs in room are dirty and needed cleaning. Bathrooms needed cleaning better. Sliding door to bathroom would not stay closed for privacy and no way to keep it from rolling open. Tennis ball size hole in wall by vanity where the vanity mirror had been ripped off wall. Electrical cords laying under vanity sink that would not have been safe with small children or pets. Light switch to bathroom area is located at the front door. Only one side of bed had place to plug in Cell phones. One yellow square cube to set suitcase on and it was very dirty. Awkward corner benches and table to set other suit cases on.|On a positive note the staff was very friendly, but looked surprised when we told them about the hole in the wall and sliding door problem. Repairs and filth seemed to be a common complaint in other people’s reviews too. Location is good for going shopping, but it is located behind a large chain of stores. Marriott really failed on this one. I will not be staying at another Aloft hotel again.

The Aloft is one of the few hotels on our road travels that is completely welcoming of dogs. We have stayed there 3 times in the past 2 months on road trips, and really appreciate the location, the pet friendliness and the super comfy beds. Breakfast coffee is freely available, the food is good, and its close to a myriad of restaurants at the mall area within walking distance. Front desk service is excellent and friendly (Jack is probably the most pleasant Marriott employee Ive dealt with in 10 years and that includes Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott properties).

OK stay but could have been much better. Never construction cleaned properly. Multiple Paint spots on bath floor, original shower head location mark from plumber still next to fixture on surround- never cleaned. Dirty spots on shower floor. Unknown splash on bath wall. Dirty bath vents. Dirty fabric on “seat” in bedroom area. Flooring sticking up under vanity. Questioning if hotel staff was properly trained to clean and also report deficiencies to management.

Very cool, calm relaxing hotel... first time staying at this concept... kinda of a layed back feel, staff extremely helpful and friendly. There is a small bar, a pool table and a lot of searing in the lobby area. The room was very cool, kind bed, very comfortable, huge walk in shower and a small separate room for the toilet. There is an indoor safe , which i love, not that you care that I love it.. but I do. There is a corner type half moon upholstered bench and table for eating or work. Lots of electric and USB connections. Great location, easily walkable to many restaurants. The price was excellent, location excellent, room excellent and the staff.... even better than excellent! This is a great property and will stay here again

Rooms are fine, but I can literally hear house keeping clean every room in the 4th floor. This is a hotel so people are supposed to maybe sleep and relax here right? Is the goal of house keeping to wake everyone up at 8am by slamming every door, every toilet, and vacuuming? Is it REALLY necessary to clean at a time people are asleep? This is ridiculous. If you are looking for somewhere quiet to stay, this place is NOT it. Don’t stay here.

New hotel in Lubbock; treadmills and other machines in the gym did not work when I stayed several weeks ago. Hoping they get them fixed, expect more when traveling for business - having a reliable and clean fitness center is a basic expectation

Not worth the price. I called ahead and management confirmed a working heated pool. Pool was freezing! They said they set it to 75, although it was colder. The heated pool does not exist and it was the main reason we booked. The room that houses the pool was very cold as well.
