NillWe've stayed here twice now and the first time was decent. Dead bugs on the wall but that was the worst of it... Front desk was very nice. This time, our room had clearly not even been wiped down. There was crumbs and dust on almost everything and some places looked like they hadn't been wiped down in months. Definitely disappointed.

★★★★★A quaint motel in Memphis, Texas. We had driven 700 miles and came across this place. The beds here are more comfortable than other hotels I've stayed at. The front desk attendant is so gracious and happy. Always greeted with a smile! I love it here!

NillNeeded a place to stay on our way home. Childress never has any rooms available. It was further than we wanted to drive, but we made it. The guy on the phone and at the desk is very hard to understand, but he seemed very nice. The rooms are awesomely quaint, comfortable, cute and affordable, but they are a little dated. Bed was amazing and comfortable. Plenty of parking from compact up to trucks and trailers. Allowed our fur-baby to stay with a deposit (of course). Breakfast in the morning was lacking. You get waffles or cereal. The muffins were toddler sized, and it would've taken a dozen to make even 1 satisfying breakfast. Coffee machine had sign saying we weren't allowed to fill our own travel mugs, and there wasn't enough coffee, cream or sugar in the room to fill the mugs. Had to go find a gas station for our morning pick-me-up and a good breakfast.

Nill1/8/2024 7pm Diatribe below... I had no choice but to get a room here. A huge tumbleweed took out my Ford Escape’s cooling system. The car was broken down in Hedley, TX. The tow truck driver wasn't going to take my car to Amarillo, TX as planned, due to serious weather conditions, so he offered to personally take me to Clarendon, TX or here to Memphis, TX. The Choice app showed absolutely nothing in either city. However, the Wyndham app showed this location, so we drove here. I arrived, and the power was out in certain locations of the motel, preventing the owner from properly renting myself and another client a room. So he just got our DL info and manually opened our rooms for us. Luckily, the room had power, and the climate system was working. Ok, so the room has dated furniture, and the bedding wasn't the best to look at. I read the reviews and the complaints. Do you think any of the petty complainers gave thought to the fact that they are in town with a population of less than 3000 people. This town is not a destination center. Considering the random income this hard-working owner is trying to wrangle out of this place. I have to give him an “A” for effort and be thankful that I was able to have a warm bed, heat, and hot water in this 27-degree cold. With a disabled car, 13 miles up US-287 and having had barely one bar of service with ATT & Verizon... I'm thankful. Maybe you can be thankful too. The man is not getting rich off of this place. *Memphis, TX - Wikipedia The median income for a household in the city was $23,102, and for a family was $27,367. Males had a median income of $24,620 versus $18,816 for females. The per capita income for the city was $13,856. About 18.5% of families and 23.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 38.2% of those under age 18 and 15.4% of those age 65 or over.

NillThis was not as bad as others reviewed. There were no bugs. Rooms old but the water was hot and the ac was cold. Bed comfortably. I would stay again.

NillVery nice roadside hotel. It is very clean and the lighting is some of the best of any room I've stayed in. It's very reasonably priced. Raj, the owner, is extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast is your typical continental fare. I'd stay here again.
