Cambria Hotel Appleton

Stayed with a group when I was in town for training. This was our first time staying in this hotel. The staff was very courteous. My room was very clean and spacious. The hotel even set aside a room for us to hang out in after hours. So why the low review? I have stayed in over 1,000 hotels in my life, in and out of the USA, and this is the first time I’ve ever not had hot water for a shower 2 mornings in a row. I addressed it with the staff after the first morning and they assured me they were working on it and apologized for the inconvenience. The second morning my shower was as cold as the first. Mind you I don’t need a scalding hot shower, just warm enough that I can stand in it for the duration. I know not a big deal for some, but I was done taking cold showers after my military days.

I came to town because my mom was in the hospital with a serious heart condition. I drove all night and need a room at 5:30 in the morning through the night. The lady at the front desk was super nice and accommodating. Super nice breakfast staff. I would definitely stay here again. Very nice rooms and amenities!

Staff is super nice. I Booked our room weeks ahead of time but floors looked dirty and not vacuumed, the curtains don’t fully cover the window. The hot tub was closed during our stay and breakfast is NOT FREE, 8$ per person. Our couch also had stains on it along with the lamp shades.

Save your money and stay at AmericInn right next store. You're seriously going to not have a free breakfast and only take orders from the menu? Or charge $8 for the same breakfast I can get for free at any other hotel? Nah. Pool closed even though it was all running and looked fine.

While Cambria is normally a very good choice, this one wasn't as great as other properties we've visited. The staff was friendly, efficient, and attentive. The lobby/dining/bar area was clean, well-lit, and inviting. The pool was a decent temperature, as was the whirlpool. The whirlpool jets were barely noticeable. The bathroom needed some attention when we arrived, as the shampoo was out and one bulb was burned out. The beds were comfortable, but the mattresses are definitely due to be replaced! The linens were clean and fluffy. The door was secure. The property is clean, well-lit, and in a quiet location of Appleton. We will definitely consider staying here again, but the property needs some updating.

1st time ever staying at a Cambria Perfect place to crash if you are passing through or in town for a few days. Large rooms with nice beds - towels - micro wave - & mini fridge Resturant - Bar - pool - hot tub - easy safe care free parking. Staff were excellent too! Nice job Cambria!!!

Easy enough location to access, great service and great property. Only complaint I have is that the mattress on the pull-out sleeper sofa is hardly a mattress, I feel like I could have laid the couch cushions down on the ground and would have received better support/comfort than what came out of that couch. Otherwise everything was great!

Be warned. If you call the hotel directly & press the option for reservations you will be routed to a 3rd party booking company. We were lied to by the agent who said the block of rooms for a wedding had already been sold. Further lied to after checking on booking.com & found rooms cheaper but the agent said if booking through a 3rd party our room wouldn't be guaranteed. The day of the wedding a couple walked in & booked a room on the block. We paid $55.59 more for our room than they did.
