Was a great place to go for my husband and I! Was a cheap stay for the whole weekend. Love the shower and the jetted tub was nice for relaxing with your loved one. The bed was comfy and soft but not super soft. They give you ribs which was super nice. The thermostat wasn’t really working well. We set the room to 68 and it would constantly go to 72 which made the room hot and dry. One downfall is they don’t have someone there 24/7 even when you call the number it’s not a real person. Overall, well enjoyed and love the location.

This place is stunning. It's a great location with very spacious, clean rooms. The bar is fantastic, our bartender went above and beyond to make a drink we've been searching for on and off for 2 years. Everyone has been incredibly helpful and nice, and the after hours check in was the easiest I've ever experienced. The key cards are easy to use, the bathroom is huge, and there's a guide book with dozens of suggestions for restaurants, shopping, and local activities. Parking was easy to find, only 2 blocks away.

Amenities aren't up to par. Building definitinly doesn't have sound proofing. Can hear a lot of the hallway noise. Luckily the room was in the rear away from the door. Also tvs were lackluster at best. Small TVs in room and living area. But other then that the bathroom was above and beyond. Huge shower. All in all a nice experience

Stayed at the Clarke given its proximity to Carroll and being centrally located to the downtown area. You can't beat the location if you are looking to be able to walk around campus or while being out and about in downtown Waukesha. It is a small hotel "airbnb inspired," which leaves room for a few quirks. The room was clean and well appointed, and the bed was comfortable. Staff communication and general friendliness felt lacking and this is where a star gets deducted. I had emailed about needing the sofa bed made up for a third guest, was aware of the additional charge for this, and I received an e-mail back confirming the request. I also called the property a few days beforehand and spoke with staff to confirm this. Upon arrival the sofa bed had not been made up and required asking staff to do so--the first question asked was who I spoke with when calling to confirm the request. The hotel had very specific hours that the desk is staffed and be very cautious with the keycards as they will become deactivated if near credit cards or cell phones. I think it would be difficult getting staff to assist if locked out outside of staffed hours. Regardless of these details, I do plan to return in the future and would recommend the hotel to those needing accommodation close to Carroll University or those wishing to stay in Downtown Waukesha.

What a great location! You can walk along the river, shop Waukesha's Main Street, visit wine and cigar bars, and eat out -- all within easy walks out the front door. My room was spacious and comfy, and Laurie at the front desk was very helpful. My experience at the Clarke was so much better than if I'd stayed at a typical chain place. Just 2 small things to keep in mind: Rooms that face Main Street do get noise at night, and like many newer hotels, the Clarke doesn't have staff on the premises at all times.

A very pleasant surprise! I knew about Clarke Hotel and had driven and walked by many times. But, thought, “when would I ever need to stay in Waukesha?” I’m going to find reasons now! |The room was large and comfortable and the staff was the definition of Wisconsin-friendly. It was right in the heart of everything, making it to easy to go in any direction.

While the room has a coffee maker there's only enough for 2 cups your entire stay. No one at the front desk to ask for more. As an early riser nothing was open when I wanted a 3rd cup. I ended up buying 3 cups to save for the next morning. The closet doors stick and I could not open it.
