Beautiful historical hotel located right across the old faithful geyser. This hotel has a spectacular lobby with soaring levels of wood terrace and giant stone fireplace. A wonderful place to hang out in the evening with live music and get a drink. This building is where all the other "lodges" are based on, check out Disney's wilderness lodge at their Florida theme park for a copy, and even the Great Wolf Lodge are heavily inspired by this. The attached restaurant is very decent for Yellowstone with good buffet style service for breakfast and dinner. Being quite expensive, the food is only acceptable at a major city standard but much, much better than any other place offered by the national park concessionary in the park. There are 2 types of rooms here, there is the older historical log cabin style room which are very charming but may not have an included bathroom (there are shared bath and showers to use). Then they have the standard hotel room which are very normal with less style but an attached bathroom. If you stay on the east wing, you'll have the option of facing the geyser too. There are 2 x L2 EV chargers by the cabins (which is not near the hotel) and 1 cabin have an outdoor L1 socket. Due to the # of people staying here and that cabin may be already occupied, DO NOT count on being able to charge your EV here. Overall, a wonderful historical hotel with a must see lobby, potentially charming rooms or regular rooms, good restaurant for Yellowstone park, located right at the heart of the upper geyser basin.

A true icon of Yellowstone National Park, Old Faithful Inn is one of the most famous and historic lodges in the U.S. Built in 1904, this stunning log-and-stone structure showcases rustic architecture, a towering stone fireplace, and an awe-inspiring multi-story lobby with handcrafted woodwork. Located near Old Faithful Geyser, the inn offers guests front-row access to one of nature’s most spectacular geothermal displays. Whether staying overnight or simply exploring its grand interior, Old Faithful Inn provides a timeless and unforgettable experience in the heart of Yellowstone.

If you are going to Yellowstone for more than a couple of days, this is the place to stay. It’s absolutely fantastic to stay here. You are right in the center of the park and can go walking around the geysers from early in the morning to late at night, with lots of chances to see Old Faithful and other geysers go up. So, the important bit. If you want to stay at Old Faithful Inn, I would strongly recommend booking a year in advance. All the decent rooms are gone within a few days of them being released. We got the two rooms we wanted, but I booked the day the rooms were released. The rooms themselves are lovely and comfortable, you can really get a good nights sleep. The hotel has all the facilities you need and there are a few places to get breakfast. However, if you want evening meals, you need to book these well in advance, like a couple of months. If you stay in the hotel, don’t forget to visit the crows-nest for fantastic views over geyser basin. There is also a lovely gift shop. For food and drinks, there is also a large store next to Snow Lodge. Remember this is a historic hotel, so there is no air conditioning and the facilities are basic. If you are a hiker, you will love it. If you are used to 5* hotels, you may not. I like 5* but I also love rustic, historical places like this. Basically if you are going to Yellowstone, I would try and stay here. It’s a once in a lifetime experience.

We stayed in a rustic room and it was incredible. We had a great view from window and the room was beautiful with wood paneling and historic ambiance. The shared bathrooms were very nice and close enough for quick access. Everything was in pristine condition. We did have issues getting housekeeping services and you do have to specifically request your trash be taken out and towels and other items (cups, tissues) replenished separate from requesting house keeping. Even with that issue, it is my favorite hotel experience. The issues we experienced pale in comparison to the character and atmosphere of our room and the hotel as a whole.

Absolutely amazing experience staying in such a historic and beautiful Inn. Watching Old Faithful erupt from either the observation deck or right from our room’s window was very cool. The room itself was also great. We chose to stay in one of the oldest rooms in the original wing and could feel the history everywhere. The room was very cozy and provided for a great nights rest. The fireplace provides an excellent centerpiece for the lobby experience and my wife and I loved having an evening drink from the third level over look. We undoubtedly will be back again

Faithful inn hotel is a historic building seeing it is a must when visiting Yellowstone Park. when staying in faithful inn be aware of the following Rooms do not have internet, no TV, no A/C and no drinking water no hot water kettle. Breakfast is not included (20$ extra). bathrooms have mildew see attached photo. We stayed in a deluxe room the price was 560$ a night. Staying in the grant village hotel is one third of the price (169$) . You can visit old faithful inn and attend hotel tour for free and have dinner in faithful inn (reservation required) is the way to go. keep in mind dining in old faithful inn hotel restaurant is a must. The chef is excellent and the food is delicious specially the Idaho trout.

Rooms a bit dated & utilitarian, but clean. Very similar to the other historical classics lodges we've been too. The real beauty is in the great rooms of the lodges themselves - showcasing the stone & timber construction from over 100 years ago. Great location, near many sights & walkways. In our wing, we saw Old Faithful spew outside our window 10 minutes after checking in. Had decent snack & drinks in bar, and good á la carte dinner in dining room (buffet also available).

Wow!!!! First words out of my mouth once we walked in. We walked into the most amazing warmth and cozy ambiance AND a lady playing the violin! It was like oa outta a dream. Stayed two nights here with my husband and two kids. Highly recommend. It's not a luxury hotel so don't expect that. Could have been a little cleaner but everything else makes up for the lack of housekeeping. It's the perfect location in the park. Everyone was very nice. Had the breakfast buffet in the morning and our server said our kids (13 and 8) both qualified for the kids price which was nice. She said as long as they still look like they love with their parents they get the kids price, which i thought was really cool. Had the most amazing time. Well definitely stay again next time we visit. Not cheap though. $437 a night so stayed two night there and one night at the snow lodge across the parking lot. ***I don't know why people complain about having no TV. You're literally in the most popular, oldest national park. Go outside! Take a walk. Enjoy the lodge.
