This motel is ...HOME AWAY from HOME for us every time we came to Maine. From a Beautiful and spacious room, to the Lovely walls decor, A Very Large Flat Screen TV, a VERRY comfortable bed, and Most Of All, SPICK and SPAN CLEAN, it s more that ANY motel will offer.(we always have a King Room) Fresh new paint and Wall panels, gives the room such a Homey feeling. The grounds are SO Well kept, with tables and umbrellas and beautiful colorful hanging plants. There are grills in the back and a pool. Plenty of Continental Breakfast. But the MOST , it's the WARMTH of the place. Don is very helpful in the evening at the arrival, gets the room ready, and comes down to explain everything. The last but not the least , Charlie, The Owner is just Such a pleasure to talk and be with. He is always there in the morning, extremely friendly and helpful with everything you need. Looking forward to our next visit next year.

We had a wonderful stay for 6 days. Charles was very helpful and has a great sense of humor. Excellent customer service! Room was very nice, grounds were well kept, very quiet and dog friendly. Pool and BBQ area was great as well. Thank you Charles from your friends Kathy & Brian from Delaware! We'll see you again!

What a peaceful little retreat. A step back in time. A wonderful drive up motel reminiscent of childhood vacations. Warm and welcoming. Everything was spotless in our room. The grounds were well kept. Charles at the desk was a delight. An excellent experience.

We had a disappointing experience staying here. An odor reminiscent of dogs permeated the air upon arrival, the walls and bed sheets were stained, one of the windows did not open or lock properly, and we discovered cobwebs and several live insects (including spiders) throughout. In addition, a large clump of fur and/or hair was lodged underneath the bathroom door, the bathroom light fixture was heavily rusted, and the floor and rug were so gritty and soiled that we were reluctant to even remove our shoes. The ubiquitous filth and neglect created an environment utterly incompatible with relaxation. Positive aspects of our stay included convenient parking, spacious room interior, and friendly staff.

Needed a place to stay for a night. Saw the other reviews here and gave it a shot. Glad we did. Had a room with a king sized bed and the room was large. Room was cleaned and appeared to be recently painted. Bed was comfortable. It was warm the day we were there but the AC took care of that in time. The small fridge was nice and kept our drinks cool. If you eat in your room, there isn't much space there and only one chair by the writing table. Check in was easy and friendly. Small continental breakfast is available. Not many dining options nearby. We went to the grocery store about 10 miles away and brought back a couple of sandwiches. Price was nice, top. Overall, we were happy with the place and would recommend it.

Good place if you have a dog. It's very pet friendly. The staff are very friendly and outgoing. The rooms are clean and open for you and your pets. A huge amount of land and plenty of places to walk your dogs on the property. The free breakfast isn't cheap, it has everything your heart could desire for breakfast. Great place to stay! I would definitely go back next time I'm in Maine for a few days. I appreciate the hospitality. Thank you!

I’m giving the rooms a 3 instead of a 4 because we upgraded to the king pillow top bed, and it ended up being a memory foam mattress, with vertigo, this is not a good mattress type at all, and much different from a pillow top. The bed also was very unleveled with the head being lower than the feet. My husband and I ended up sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed instead. The rooms are quaint and the hotel host is a friendly and chatty dude. Breakfast was on par with any chain hotel breakfast. Fair digs for the price and the area. Conveniently located. I would recommend and stay again. FYI- This is just off the toll roads and we did hear a little bit of road noise with our window open, but I didn’t mind as we live off of a busy street in California and are used to street noise.

Positive: This is a nice enough motor inn for a reasonable price in an area rife with unreasonably priced hotels Negative: This is a 2 star hotel, priced as a 2 star hotel. As long as you're not expecting a piano bar in the 4 story atrium, you're going to be fine. If you're picky, pay $200 more a night and be disappointed with a hotel closer to a real 4 star.
