This place was amazing. We just happened to drive by, saw the airplane out front with signs for camping/lodging and quickly turned around. Judy and Richard were so welcoming and friendly. We paid $25 to camp without hookups, and it was well worth it. The bathrooms and showers were so nice and clean, and we were able to use as much firewood as we wanted. I would definitely stop by again when in the area.

What a gem. We were in a camper. The hosts were wonderful. The showers were so clean and the water was very hot. A super nice laundry facility with $2 washers and dryers. Fire wood was included with a beautiful fire pit. The nightly rate was $35 plus $7 extra for breakfast. We were passing by and only stayed for one night but would definitely stay again.

We happened to stumble upon this place on our way through and decided to give it a try because we say they had hot showers! Judy and Richard were so nice and welcoming that we felt right at home. The bathhouse had mens and women’s with 2 showers and 3 stalls in each. Firewood was free and laundry was $2 for the washer and $2 for the dryer. We paid $20 to camp and honestly felt like we got the most bang for our money!

The absolutely best place to stay in Alaska. Judy and Richard are excellent hosts, telling me about the history of the Roadhouse and the cabins on the property. Very reasonable rates with firewood And wifi included. The cabins are warm & welcoming snd the bathhouse is large with a homey feeling to it. I ended up staying 2 nights in my motorhome. Large grassy area to set up on. Loved it.10 out of 10.

stayed the night in "grandmas' cabin" an old log cabin. It has a stove , frig, a wood burning stove or an oil burning stove. Had a comfy bed, a couch, and a table and chairs set up romantically. The next morning, we went to the lodge and had breakfast, waffles, scrambled eggs, fruit, juice and coffee, family style. talked with the owner and her helper Lori. the only issue was the cabin had sank on one side and it was quite a slope, sort of slid into the bathroom. other than that it was a good stay

We could only stay one night and it was not long enough! The Red Eagle is on the site of a historic roadhouse when roads first came through Alaska. Six original cabins but we actually stayed in a newly finished apartment. Comfortable bed, great kitchen and livingroom. Best part though was breakfast with Judy, one of the owners. She is a wealth of information about the area, I could have talked to her all day!!

Old Alaska Roadhouse. Clean, adorable and super nice people. The showers are HOT and the little laundry was perfect. We were in our camper but I got to go in the cabins which were well done. Wood stove or electric heater. I would recommend this to my family and plan to stay again next year. I might sign up to stay in the school bus!!! Over the top adorable.

My travel buddy and I stayed a night at Red Eagle Lodge and were made to feel so welcome by Judy, Richard and Shawn. It was the clear highlight of our Alaskan adventure. ||||The cabins are authentically Alaskan, cosy and well maintained. The bath house is clean, with hot showers and large and private change and shower rooms. There are laundry facilities and the grounds are massive so you can go for a good walk. ||||The atmosphere is warm and relaxed. I had some conversations with Shawn and Judy that I’ll never forget. After being on the road for 3 weeks driving in Alaska this was an American family experience that I never expected. I’m a cold fish at times but Judy and Shawn cracked me. ||||Thanks again Richard, Judy and Shawn. You’re all good people. ||||Lisa from Perth, Western Australia
