Went here on a group trip. The hike to the glacier from the hotel was guided. Now that the kids are older i'd love to do it again. Had to bring a double BOB stroller and it couldn't make it all the way so I brought my twin carriers and the group helped me. They are all old enough to do it again on their own feet. The lodge is very comfy/cozy atmosphere. Good dining and chef there. Be careful of roads there. You also lose cell service but that made it fun. I got 2 flat tires and my group really saved us. Don't try to speed down those dirt roads. Tow trucks are expensive. The lodge isn't responsible for that part. Crossing the bridges to the lodge made the kids and I so happy. It was a nice adventure. Want to do it again.

Can't beat the location! It was so cool to stay right in the old mining town. The lodge is very nice, but made to look historic like the rest of the town. There were so many historic photos, blueprints, and other pieces hung on the walls of the hallways, guestrooms, and common rooms that it was like being in a museum! Lots to look at!||Our room was comfortable and had a sink. Bathrooms and showers were shared, but we never had to wait for one. The water temperature was wild though! They have on-demand hot water tanks, which I grew up with, and it just means you have to run the water a while before it gets hot. But as I was showering the water would randomly get ICE cold - I'm talking glacier cold - even though I didn't touch the knob. It did that 2 or 3 times so I got out of there quick! That was the only bad thing. The food was very good and staff were all very nice. I liked the lounge, covered porch, and outdoor seating on the lawn they had to socialize with other guests or just get some fresh air and take in the views. ||When you're considering the glacier view room vs the forest view room -- just save money and get the forest view room. The glacier here is covered in rocks and soil, so it's not that scenic.

This lodge is fantastic if you are looking for somewhere to spend the night I recommend it. The staff are fantastic, friendly and always polite. The food was amazing, dinner was the best. Check what the meal is and they can address any changes you may need. Breakfast was an all you can eat buffet style. All the dishes were cooked well and taste great. They have decent WiFi for guests.

We loved staying here. The room was super nice in the south wing. They cleaned every day. The food was delicious in the dining hall. We had breakfasts and dinners there. What really stood out was how friendly and accommodating everybody was. We were picked up at the bridge and the van driver was full of wonderful information. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is spectacular. We stayed two nights and wish we had booked it longer. The road in is so worth the experience at this hotel and its surrounding area. The food was amazing. You can tell the staff all love their jobs. We will return someday no doubt! So worth every penny.

4.5 stars Just located in Kennicott area. We had a two double bed room, pretty homey and organized. Shared restrooms and showers but pretty clean and not busy. We booked with full meal packages and definitely recommended. The food options here were limited so it’s pretty nice to have warm food after full day hikes. Staffs here were pretty helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here!

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying here, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, their service is outstanding! I would recommend getting a room with an attached bathroom, it is definitely worth it. The views and hikes are spectacular. The location is remote but definitely a once in a lifetime experience to visit this national park.

Simple rooms with exceptional service! The private bathroom was definitely worth the extra money. This is in a great location to do any of the flight seeing tours or glacier hikes. Also, the gluten free meal options were great! Fresh baked bread and muffins at breakfast, gluten free sandwiches for lunch and gluten free desserts at dinner.
