Rainbow King Lodge

First time experience with a fishing lodge and I will be back! The fishing was excellent... the staff was friendly... and the food and atmosphere was over the top!|This is the place where memories are made that will last a lifetime!|Very comfortable rooms and great fellowship with new friends in the recreational room after a full day of fishing. Each day began with a wake-up call consisting of a knock at the door with a pot of fresh coffee. Then a made to order breakfast!|Supper was prepared by a chef and served by an outstanding staff!|Hoping to take my son next year!

We had the perfect fishing trip. Everyone at Rainbow King was great. The service was excellent. The guides were very good. The food was delicious. Fishing in Alaska is a unique experience, and RKL allows you to enjoy it to the fullest. I highly recommend RKL, and hope to return someday.

16 of us stayed at the lodge and the experience exceeded all my expectations. Tony, the staff, guides & pilots all went out of their way to make sure your every need was met. The wake up coffee and tea service, hot shore lunches (no cold baloney sandwiches on this outing), made fresh to order breakfast, appetizers in the lodge meeting room overlooking the lake and the gourmet dinners were all examples of how Rainbow King goes above and beyond! Now, the reason you go to Alaska: the fishing was everything I wanted from trophy rainbows jumping and fighting harder than any trout you will hook up in the world to the coho salmon snatching the rod out of your hand. The guides know the rivers and are great patient teachers. We had all levels of experience on the trip from rookies to gray haired veterans and all of us learned new skills & techniques from the knowledgeable guides. I fished with 6 different guides during the week and would gladly fish with any of them again. I highly recommend Rainbow King Lodge and definitely plan to book another trip.

The service and congeniality from the guides, pilots, chef, kitchen staff, drivers, and if I left anyone off them too was superb. It was a real team effort and I give Tony a big thumbs up for seeing to it all. And the fishing was outstanding on every day trip I took. i give it six stars. I recommended Rainbow King to a fellow on the plane from South Dakota.

This is my seventh year my son and I have been to Rainbow King Lodge. It is an amazing experience. The hospitality is off the charts. The fishing is great. The service is amazing and the food is off the charts. Kudos to Gus and Becky and Tony and the rest of the staff. See you next year. G

Second time to stay at RAINBOW KING LODGE - the whole experience was “over the top”! Fantastic guides, attentive/accommodating management, wonderful dining, oh yeah, GREAT FISHING!!! Alaska is MAGIC and RAINBOW KING LODGE is the place to experience it.

These guys provide a wonderful experience.The rainbow fishing is world class. The variety each day is just spectacular. They prioritize safety and comfort. A the food was outstanding. We brought our own alcohol. The guides and the leadership made us feel like family by the end of the week.

This is the second time I’ve been fortunate enough to spend a week at Rainbow King Lodge and I can’t recommend it enough. This is a truly world class, best -of -your -life fly fishing trip. And everyone including Gus, Tony, the guides, the chefs and the rest of staff are courteous and care about making your trip awesome. Not a trip just for hard core fly fisherman as the level of amenity makes the trip awesome for casual fisherman who want to experience the best of Alaska. Bears, caribou, and a cold dip in lake illiamna! Highly recommend.
