NillWe stayed two nights in our fifth wheel in one of the four gravel sites in front of the owners home/lodge. Our site was long, but narrow with a small grassy living area. Hookups & WiFi worked well. We were also able to get 3 air channels. Stayed here to drive & hike Nabesna road. Solid stay, although nightly rate was high.

★★★★The rooms are very lovingly decorated, maybe too much for those with a more minimalist taste, but the stay was very nice. ||The surrounding is very remote and quiet but please be aware that the next supermarket, restaurants or really anything, is quite a drive away. For travellers without provisions, like we were, the friendly host has a range of dinner and snack choices available for a fee, from pizza to hotpockets. Breakfast is very simple but not bad, and consisted of apple danishes and coffee - although we were promised orange juice and bread rolls. ||All in all it was a very nice stay at a very (very!) unique place but do stock up on some provisions before you come to Slana !

★★★★This was an overnight stay. We were happy to find this location as we had been driving all day. We had a 33 foot motor home and they had a lot of spaces large enough for us to stay. We had water, sewer, and electrical 30W hookup extremely close to where our RV was parked. The grass was raised right by the space, so it was an easy in and out of our RV. It was kind of a buggy area, so we wore long sleeves. The bathroom was inside the lodging area. Our stay included access to men and women's restrooms. There was one shower handicap shower stall in the women's. It didn't have a lightbulb, but it definitely worked. I liked seeing a different part of Alaska and the customer service was good. This was a nice, safe, quiet stay. Definitely would come back again.

NillWhat a pleasant surprise! Hart D ranch is an oasis in the wilderness. Completely exceeded our expectation. Our room in the rooster lodge is very clean, spacious, well appointed, and the bathroom comes with lovely music, gentle as a breeze, so relaxing. My husband enjoyed the coffee and muffin, I loved the hot tea. The best part yet is to talk to Mary and listening to her legendary stories in this great land. Highly recommend it. We certainly had a memorable stay. No doubt this is the best place to stay for weary travelers while exploring the largest National Park in north America -- Wrangell St. Elias NP.

NillBeautiful area! It was clean & easy enough to get in & out of, with only four parking lot campsites available (early-mid June). Sewer pipe was elevated (couldn't drain DOWN), owner's dogs barked incessantly if we made a move & lawn was mowed after 10 pm...nothing egregious, but $50/night...idk.

NillWhat a fantastic place to stay. The room was so nice we didn't want to leave the next morning. Huge screen TV, all the comforts in the middle of nowhere. And the woman that owns the place is super interesting and really nice. Highly recommended!

★★★★★We are traveling in a camping trailer and saw the ad for this place. It’s awesome! Full hookups, great bathroom/shower(free) and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful! Good amperage and water pressure! Definitely a gem in the rough! Not only that, the WiFi and internet connection is FAST!

★★★This was better than some of the commercial campgrounds in Alaska and Yukon territory, but not as nice as expected from reviews. There are only a few spaces, which is nice. There are lots of trees behind the spaces, but none around the actual spots. There is very little separation between spaces. We traveled in a 28 foot fifth wheel. I know there were some inside rooms, which we did not see. We also didn't get to see her artwork since it was raining when we got there and we left fairly early. It did look like there was one spot behind the house that was surrounded by trees and very private. It was taken by someone staying more than one night.
