NillWe had a wonderful time at Gate Creek Lodge! Mac and Ellie are warm, welcoming, and very accommodating. The cabin was clean and warm. We lit fireworks in the evening, and Mac took us on a guided snow machine tour the following day. We saw Denali in all her glory. Mac was patient and understanding when our toddlers didn’t tolerate the snow machine ride very well. 🙂 I highly recommend Gate Creek Lodge for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle. Give your eyes a break from traffic, buildings, and constant stimulation by staring at mountains, trees, and God’s creation.

NillRented five snowmobiles from the Gate Creek Lodge for a weekend retreat with a group of veteran Marines in Feb 2025. The Snowmobiles were in pristine condition, parked, and ready to go when we arrived. The owners of Gate Creek Lodge: Mac and Ellie, were professional, welcoming, and exceptionally accommodating. They clearly love the outdoors and are excited to share the wonders of their unique location with guests. Spent 3 days in some of the most breathtaking country I have ever been in. Views were spectacular. Perfect mix of adventure and beauty all with a backdrop that shows the magnitude of the Alaska wilderness. Met Mac out on the trails where his smile, advice, and genuine love of the wilderness only enhanced the experience. Gate Creek Lodge itself is centrally located to allow patrons access to lakes, trails, views of Mount McKinley, and hundreds of miles of groomed trains. My highest recommendations for quality of equipment, professional and complete service, and opportunity for life time memories. Only about two hours from Anchorage.

NillI have stayed here in the past and excited that Mac and Elliott have taken over. They are a younger couple who love the area and outdoors, with ebullient personalities sure to make your stay or excursion exceptional. For this review, I am recommending the 4 hour guided snow machine tour of the area and foothills! Mac, a former Army Ranger, was the consummate guide on this awesome adventure. Mac runs new fan-cooled Polaris snowmachines that were a joy to ride. The prices were reasonable, and having Mac as our guide enabled us to explore areas I wouldn't have normally gone. Please support this couple and their awesome cabins/rentals to ensure their continued presence in the years to come.

NillWe stayed for a weekend! We arrived early but we were allowed to park near the cabin we were going to be staying in and were able to get on the trails. Very appreciative. The owners were very responsive with any of our needs and were all around amazing. The cabins are so cozy and very well kept. We would definitely stay again!

NillWe had such a great time in the Denali Cabin. Very spacious and had all the amenities we needed for 6 adults and a baby. The northern lights even came out! Hosts were awesome and communicated well. We’ll definitely be going back!

NillWe were blessed to find such a wonderful place to stay this past fall! We enjoyed the cozy, well decorated and appointed cabin. It was very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen, and linens. Views of Denali were stunning! It is a short drive to Denali State Park for hiking nearby. A true gem.

NillA beautiful lodge nestled in the pristine Alaskan wilderness. Mac and Ellie provided terrific customer service. We rented their snowmobiles that were in perfect running order, brand new! They were easy and fun to ride. We had a blast thanks to them!

NillWe had a great time at Gate Creek Lodge! Mac & Ellie are doing a great job running it and will make sure you’ll have a wonderful stay. The cabin we stayed at went through some improvements and one bedroom was added - while still keeping it very spacious and comfortable. Plenty books, games and puzzles plus cute decor. Good WiFi. Renting a snowmachine and riding the trail system was fun and easy; highly recommend going all the way to the Forks roadhouse. We also brought our cross county skis and skied around a bit. We will keep coming back - already made a reservation for the next year.
