Got married at Eureka lodge July 2024. We absolutely loved this venue! It’s slightly treacherous to get to, mostly if you’re coming from Ouray, but also a gorgeous drive! The lodge is so homey and intimate. Terri was wonderful with answering our questions, we unfortunately did not get to meet her, but Cindy and Jerry took over during our time there and they couldn’t have been more helpful or pleasant. The beds are cozy and comfortable, the drawing room where the bridal party got ready is definitely antique and gave me the best back drop for our photos, and outside, man people tell me my photos look photoshopped. My guests had a great time as well, I wish I could go back and do it over and over again! My only regret is not getting time in the hot tub, so I’ll just have to go back for that. I cannot recommend eureka enough! Thank you Terri, Cindy, and Jerry so so much! Also if you want a really good photographer in the area, check out Sam Murch photography who took these!

I for one, can not attest to the beauty of this lodge due to having to cancel our wedding plans for familial reasons. However, having spoken to vendors and photographers\videographers who have visited Eureka Lodge always mentioned its unparalleled beauty and that it is one of a kind. Additionally, I would welcome anyone to reach out to Terri if you want to have an event here. Terri is patient, accommodating, and respectful at all times. She will work with you and provide you the best options for your plans.

We recently held our wedding weekend at the Eureka Lodge in August of 2022. I can not say enough wonderful things about this venue and the management. Terri was so helpful and responsive on email prior to the wedding. She was quick to reply and helpful with all my questions. We were planning this wedding from another state and booked the Lodge sight unseen. So her help was tremendous. When we arrived to the lodge, Terri and Janet were extremely attentive, hospitable to our guests, and worked their buns off to make everything perfect for our weekend. The lodge was the perfect spot for our guests to have a common area to spend quality time together when we didn't have events planned. It felt like home. And needless to say, the view from the ceremony sight is unmatched and breathtaking. It was exactly what we were looking for in our wedding weekend and we can not say enough good things about the entire experience. It was magical.

My daughter just got married at Eureka Lodge on August 4th and it was nothing short of amazing! The scenery is so beautiful it takes your breath away. The owners and staff were very accommodating and helpful from beginining to end. We filled the lodge with family and friends and had the rehearsal dinner on Friday night catered by Golden Block Brewery, they brought in a portable pizza oven and the lodge staff transformed the dining area and outside patio into a quaint “little Italy” setting. We enjoyed all the lodge had to offer including the incredible breakfast, the pool table, library and hiking on property. The wedding on Saturday was up at the ceremony site above the lodge where guests could either walk to or be driven up in a all terrain vehicle, the backdrop was all mountains and greenery. The reception down by the lodge was held in a white tent which we spent the morning decorating with flowers delivered to the lodge by Sams Club (perfect) and burlap runners, tin centerpieces & charges to complete the “rustic chic” decor. The DJ (AikoAiko) kept the party in high gear and the food (Durangourmet) was top notch! Be ready to completely relax and unplug as there is no WiFi or cell service but by planning ahead and giving all guests detailed information ahead of time this was a welcomed break.

We love this lodge but you do need to share restrooms. The town of Silverton, however is not OHV friendly. They forget who brings 😀money and people into their town. We are not coming back unless there are changes. No riding in town. A better place is Lake City. They love OHVs and you can ride them anywhere.

The perfect location for our small wedding. Loved everything about it, and appreciate Terri being so responsive to my 10,000 emailed questions leading up to the big day. Such a special place, and appreciate her and her lovely staff (shoutout to Jan!!!) who made it possible for us to celebrate there and have the best possible weekend! <3

My wife and I stayed at the Eureka Lodge last weekend as part of a wedding. Once you arrive (carful not to drive past the obscure driveway that is marked with an old wagon just past the 4WD recommended sign) your mind will be overloaded with the beautiful sights! The lodge is an old mining camp that has been restored and upgraded. There are 17 bedrooms that share 4 bathrooms. While this was awkward at first since we didn't know most of the other wedding party members, it wasn't as bad as we thought. The rooms are small but the beds are soft and the linens are wonderful. There is one shared television on the first floor that does not have cable or satellite but does have a DVD player. The kitchen is also shared but is large and there are three large tables for dining. Breakfast was included in our stay and the food was also very good. The history of the site is very interesting but the best part was the views! Situated in a steep canyon the lodge sits on the Animas River. The walk to the water is down a short hill but the hike up will get you because the lodge sits at 10,000' above sea level. The views from any part of the property are amazing. There is a wooden foot bridge that sits 50' above the rushing water that looks both up and down canyon. The site of the wedding was a beautiful green grass overlook that was an amazing backdrop for the ceremony. Because rain was expected, the reception was held in a tent adjacent to the lodge. Parking is limited and it is off road but additional parking with a shuttle is available at another nearby property. The ladies who work at the lodge were very friendly and were very accommodating. The value we received was better than a hotel in Durango and the vistas were SO much better! There are no nearby restaurants so lunch and dinner require driving 7 miles (15-20 minutes) to Silverton. It is important to know also that there is no telephone on site and cell phones don't work until you drive 5 miles back towards Silverton.||I would definitely recommend the Eureka Lodge for your next wedding or family reunion!
