This past month my wife and I flew to Arizona and spent a little over a week and a half touring national monuments while staying in modestly priced motels. Motel 8 in Willcox was one of four such motels we stayed in. We spent three nights in Motel 8. It was by far the best of the four and a great value. Motel 8 was cleaner and in very good condition as opposed to the other three motels we stayed in, one of which was part of a chain. The price was the lowest of the four motels and it had greater square footage and better features. At the chain motel the room did not have a table or even a single chair. When we asked the office staff if we could borrow a chair they said they had none to offer. Our room at the Motel 8 had a table and chair and it even had a full-size refrigerator to go with the microwave. The Motel 8 is operated and owned by a young couple. We spoke with the husband and he described the work they were doing to make improvements since taking ownership. Their efforts are clearly reflected in the care taken to create a very inviting room to stay in.

We stayed at this Motel 8 during our visit to the Chiricahua National Monument. The motel appeared somewhat dated from the outside but the room we had was clean and comfortable. The room could be updated but we experienced no issues. The room had a microwave and a refrigerator. The owner (man at the front desk) was friendly and made sure we had everything needed. Not much to do in Willcox but it was about a 30 to 40 minute drive to the national monument. Only complaint about the motel is that parking was a little tight but we experienced no significant problems. Also, there was only one outlet available for charging your electronic devices and it was near the sink. Appeared the motel was full on each night of our visit. I would return to this motel in the future.

Easy pleasant check-in. Clean room, large fridge, heavy light-blocking curtains. Good temp control (heat, in Nov) - it was a little loud, but powerful, so it got the job done quickly. Shower had decent pressure, not fantastic (I appreciated them saving water). Bathroom door was difficult/ loud to open and close, but no biggie. VERY firm mattress; if you're sharing you'll definitely feel the other person move. As mentioned by others, you can clearly hear anyone outside, especially on the ground floor. But we didn't hear our neighbors on either side. I sleep with earplugs, so I can't speak to the traffic or train noise, if any. We have no pets, but their policy is quite clear if you do. Great motel, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Clean, Safe & Budget-Friendly! Had an amazing stay at Motel 8! It’s a clean, safe, budget-friendly, and family-owned motel, perfect for both solo travelers and families. The friendly staff made me feel welcome, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. The location is great—close to Wilcox Bird View and just a short drive to Chiricahua Monument. If you’re looking for affordable, safe, and well-located lodging, this is the place to stay! Highly recommend. ✅ Clean & comfortable rooms ✅ Safe for solo travelers & families ✅ Budget-friendly & great value ✅ Friendly staff & great hospitality ✅ Near Wilcox Bird View and drive to Chiricahua Monument Will definitely be back!

We arrived late and the owner greeted us in a friendly and informative way. The premises were very clean and well maintained. The room was spacious and well appointed. I liked that the building was older with period millwork (no MDF to be found) and decorations. Unlike a lot of places we have stayed, the room was warm when we entered. Even though it had a small fridge (as most do), there was a separate freezer compartment , not just an ice cube tray at the top of the fridge section. And my favorite way of sensing quality, a soft close toilet seat 😀😀.

No coffee maker and hair dryer. No big deal. It's a budget motel. The price for the night is great! Located in downtown Wilcox, so not right off I10 if you are just passing through. Again, no big deal, just a few minutes off I10. What it does have is excellent wifi, big fridge and freezer, a microwave, good heater since it is cold outside, very comfortable bed, good selection of cable tv, and very clean. David was excellent and gave me a better deal than normal in the room I am in. For less than $70 for the night, you cannot beat it. Every bit as comfortable for rooms I have stayed in for $100+. Good job Motel 8!
