Denver West Inn

This motel, unfortunately, suffers from a current roach infestation along with possibly having bed bugs as well. I'll find myself itchy urging to scratch randomly at various places on my body, discovering itchy bite-like bumps resembling something that a spider or tiny mosquito would leave behind. The lock on the door is busted, and the window is boarded shut with thin ply wood, allowing cold winter air to sneak inside. Walls are in desperate need of scrubbing, and the furniture is outdated, graffiti engraved into the wood. Zero chairs at the table or anywhere in the room for sitting. The bed has completely caved, sinking to the ground. Dresser drawers do not open/close on demand, needing to address much needed force to use. Awful DIY patch job on the door. Vent covers are dangling off the ceiling about to fall from all the dirt + dust weighing it down, huge safety hazard, alongside with the ancient smoke detector not working, which is also ancient. Old appliances are used as decorations for the hallways/walkways that welcome you to your room before entering! High crime area, located on Colfax. Known for its high homeless rate, prositution, drug-dealing, and retail & auto theft! Pros: + New owners/management, very friendly & process your check-in quickly + Location is close to downtown, bus + train within a few minutes walking + Shopping/Restaurants/Grocery/Liquor ACROSS THE STREET Fact: Colorado is #1 in The Nation for vehicle theft! Keep doors locked at all times, inside & outside of your vehicle, purchase a dash cam if possible! Laws against idling your vehicle "Puffing" is prohibited! New laws in effect as of January 2025, no cellphone use while driving allowed! Hands-Free Devices & Law Enforcement are Exempt! STAY SAFE COLORADO

Honestly I have stayed in allot of hotels around Denver area and majority of them are horrible but this hotel specifically is amazing great staff great people my room was very clean and the price is amazing! Highly recommend!

There are roaches,mice and leaks in rooms that the owner and manager will not fix! Loud music outside drug dealers and prostitutes everywhere! Code enforcement was here and health department. Do not stay here!

I enjoyed my stay here. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. The front desk clerk Celeste was so helpful. She helped us with places to see and go, and always very polite. Kristin was also very helpful with making our stay comfortable. Thanks ladies! Hope to see you both again next trip!

Stayed for one night, wasn’t even worth the 70 bucks. Got into the room around 9:30, we were tired so we just went to bed. About an hour in, there’s a loud “knock” at the door, it was more of a pound, and some guy in his 20’s asked if someone who we didn’t know was there. And after that I saw at least 3 different bugs, all the size of a quarter. And the bathtub had black mold completely outlining it. The staff was nice but not worth it when it comes to the room.

Improved since my last stay from my experience so far. Grateful for my refund on a smoking charge from my last stay upon inspection by management. I am solo now and no longer smoke cigarettes so it was deserved. I am happy with the past week here and hope to successfully extend my stay. Staff are friendly and professional in customer service. I have not seen any bugs in my room. It's been peaceful and well patrolled by local police. I feel safe and comfortable here. Keep up the good work! It is very much appreciated!
