Disappointing Experience – Unprofessional and Unsafe I had the worst experience at this motel. The staff member working the night shift was incredibly unprofessional—he was high on marijuana, rude, and dismissive. When I arrived with my scooter, he yelled at me, telling me to leave it outside if I was worried it might be stolen, but also stated he wasn't responsible for it. His behavior was hostile, and I felt extremely uncomfortable. He insisted on cash payment, which made me feel uneasy about the safety of my personal information. There were also cockroaches in the room, and I couldn’t find the employee when I needed assistance—he was outside smoking. This was an unsafe and unpleasant environment. I decided not to stay due to the lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and overall hospitality. I hope the motel takes this feedback seriously and ensures better training and behavior from their staff

Two stars is because the lady in the office was very nice and helpful. The room has roaches that walk around without a care in the world. Its not that clean in the shower and smells like stale cigarettes. Im like 50% sure the people in the other rooms actually live there. It is quiet. I was desperate in search for a room so ig if Youre desperate this is the place to go.

The worst motel in South Tampa. We stayed here for an emergency and the person that manages the room opened up the room and came inside without knocking or anything. My daughter and I were laying in bed and he just came inside. Wow so disgusting.

The owner is very kind and friendly. The rooms are clean. There are no roaches. It is on the busline and in walking distance to McDonalds, Dollar General and Family Dollar. In my room, you had to go outside to access the wifi because of the way the building is constructed. The remote control did not work with the TV because it was a universal remote and a "tube" style TV. So, even though it had batteries, it did not work. But, the price was good for the area. There was a washer and dryer downstairs. There was a microwave.

The two stars are for the value of the room. This place has the friendliest staff and owners. The rooms are clean and simple. But reeks of cigarettes smell. All are smoking. I discarded all their pillows, sheets and comforters and brought in my own. If the smell of stale cigarettes does not bother you. This could be a wonderful place for you. Does have microwave and refrigerator in the room. But place to hang clothes. I think for $60 a night this is the best I could get. This place is quite close to everything.

The most nastiest motel in south Tampa.. bed bugs manager rude rooms smell like 30 yo cigarettes smoke. I wouldn’t recommend this hell hole to anyone not even my worst enemy. Do your self a favor don’t waste your time. Ugggh

I have stayed here with my mother for over a year, and we have personally observed the changes the owners have been making for the better over that time. Many of the rooms have been recently renovated, those that haven't had their renovations completed, have been freshed up with new paint and fittings. There are new bathrooms, and brand new televisions. The WiFi is more reliable, and reaches all rooms. Several of the larger rooms have newer half-fridges instead of the usual tiny micro fridges.||The atmosphere has been cleaned up to the point that most of the weekly renters are families with children. Management is fairly strict, but all the better to keep the place safe.||The daily and weekly rates are consistently some of the lowest in town, even at peak holidays.||All in all, Macdill Motel is probably the best low rate choice in South Tampa.

If you want to throw up, this is is the best place to stay. There are spider and bugs friendly. Room smells on dead animals. DO NOT come in this place! It's disgusting! Widow was broken from bathroom and bugs keep going in. They told us that's fine.
