The Hastings Inn - NE

Rooms were comfortable and clean.A little outdated,but they're doing renovations and updating. Staff were extremely friendly. Had an issue with TV remote,but they fixed it right away. I'd love to see the place after they're done updating everything. Only real complaint is the parking lot is tore up a bit. I guess the plow guy they hired tore it up in the last storm. No bugs. Not sure what these other yahoos are talking about. Nice and quiet at night. I like how personal the place is. It's not fancy, but you don't go to Kmart to buy Louie. Keep it up guys. Your hard work is definitely showing. A lot better than 2019, and even better than when Brittany was manager. She was nuts. Always trying to get in someone's pants. The new managers, Jim & Tara are awesome. They do their best to make you feel comfortable, and make sure you have everything you need. Jim even went and picked up this couple during the blizzard from the Amtrak station at midnight. They're a really down to earth couple. Would definitely stay again.

Staff are awesome. Everyone is super friendly. Place is quiet and respectful. Everything in the rooms work. Stayed in 3 different rooms. The renovated rooms are pretty nice. They're definitely improving the place. Would definitely recommend. Also super pet friendly.

Here for work. Management is courteous and accommodating. Will try to help anyway they can. Definitely improving the place from when it was the Express. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Water is always hot.

The front desk staff was very friendly, but the room itself had roaches. The business has a strict no refund policy despite the roaches so currently dealing with that. Didn't find any bed bugs so that's good at least. Booked through Airbnb, was assured the rooms were clean but finding cockroaches at 1 in the morning after checking in made me turn around and leave to get another place to stay for the 2 weeks I'm in town for work.

Checked in last night and went to my room. The room appears to be semi clean and the bath tub was full of hair that was never cleaned out when the maid cleaned it. While taking a shower the tub would not drain so it filled all the way up and the hot water didn’t even last the whole shower. Didn’t even have toilet paper in the bathroom. No phone in the room to even call the front office. So many more improvements can be done by the DM and the owner. The front desk lady was the greatest and nicest while checking in.

Reserved a room for my boyfriend and rooms were disgusting and he said they smelled badly. Roaches. Brittany in front office and unprofessionally trying to hit in my boyfriend and offer him free nights. Very unprofessional. Was never refunded money for room that was cancelled either.

It's soo nasty! The floors were dirty the room was EMPTY but a bed and side table. And the there was mold on the bed!

BED BUGS steer clear!!!!!!!! Wanted a motel for 1st level access. It is the cheapest in town for a reason. Save yourself the trouble and extreme expense of dealing with bed bugs. Pay anything to stay elsewhere or sleep in your vehicle if you have no other choice. The pillows had the name of another hotel on them.. obviously bought second hand. The front desk and maintenance personnel were very helpful and responsive. Management cares nothing more than getting your money and cutting corners to an extent that you will suffer.
