Motel 6 Amherst, NY - Buffalo

TLDR: Overall, it was a good experience. Cheap room, comfortable, pretty clean. Being your toiletries, tho. I had a semi-emergency at my residence and needed a room at nearly midnight. Booked over the phone very easily, and they had no problem with using different cards for deposit and room. The price was very good compared to anything else I was looking at, and even tho a $150 deposit was policy, the clerk never actually charged it. Which was kind (even tho I had planned/ budgeted this temporary fee). Thankfully, the room had no smoke stink (gives me headaches), it was clean enough, the bed was reasonably comfortable, and the neighbors were quiet. The lack of little things like shampoos in the bathroom was a little annoying, but I could have thot to pack these if I hadn't been distracted. That said, a single chip of cheap soap the size of a lighter is hardly sufficient for showering, but I made do. Price and service made up for the fact that the rooms are extremely "no-frills." Worth keeping in mind for short-notice lodging needs.

The room was dirty. There was other peoples hair all over the place, the tub was dirty, overall they didnt seem to care much about cleaning the room. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. Perhaps in a better area no where near this, its ghetto.

Place is very outdated. This place is a money maker for people who aren't properly caring for the place. Toilet barely flushed, faucet barely trickled water out of it, stained bedspread, fridge was leaking. I arrived at 8 pm and left @ 3 am. I woke up to bed bugs crawling all over. I was itchy from being bitten up. I'm so happy I did not bring my belongings inside with me as it was late. The manager did not want to look at pictures. And his resolution was to just move me to another room. Dont waste your money on this filth hole. On top of that the halls smell moldy. I think the health department needs to be notified on this one.

The sheet had other people's hair all over them. We went to buy sheets towels and other essentials for our stay. Appreciated the floors were wood and not carpeted, the rest of the room was very outdated, and USB plugs were on the microwave. The sign said you needed to bring towels to for the front desk to exchange for clean ones. The housekeeper passed the room and could have asked if you needed towels, trashbags, etc, but they never did. They said it was non-smoking, and all I smelled was smoke. Sink water pressure was horrible and never got hot. Have stayed at a Motel 6 before this was the most uncomfortable experience i have ever had. It was a great location close to highway,stores, and food.

Unfortunately, my staycation was compromised by a bed bug infestation. When I presented the issue to the front desk, accompanied by the bed bugs on a hand towel, the clerk showed no concern and simply apologized. Following our 6 a.m. wake-up call, we devoted three hours to inspecting and bagging our belongings. The hotel's cleanliness and maintenance were substandard, featuring dirty linen, hair, burnt cigarette holes, inadequate water pressure, and a malfunctioning toilet. Our initial room assignment was unsuitable due to its proximity to the mechanical room, with frequent noise from machines and an adjacent ice machine. Moreover, the fridge contained leftover food from previous occupants. The staff's indifferent attitude persisted, including a dismissive response to my request for additional face towels. Presently, I am undertaking thorough cleaning and disinfection measures at home, including 30-minute dryer cycles for all items brought to the hotel. I would Gove this Motel a 0 I should have read the reviews. Disgusting ,rude staff manager was arguing was us stating we booked for an extra night which never happened and he couldn't figure out the break down of are bill Absolutely stay away from this hotel it's dirty dirty and outdated and the pictures are photoshoped and the reply you get back from your review is manufactured, as I went on reading some horrible review experiences I should have read the reviews first before we booked this horrible place . Ok I just spent 3 hrs inspecting and bagging my belonging and getting the hell out of this place. BED BUGS woke me up at 5 am. My room was on the main level. I took a bug out to the front desk on a towel and they didnt even care. They shook the bug off in the garbage and went about their business. Everything in our room was half broken and just functioning. Stay here and get what you paid for.

This place is terrible if your dying don’t come here it’s that bed there’s BLOOLD on the actual beds and random stains and there’s stains on the towels the hallways smell like weed and smoke even though there’s supposed to be no smoking after we saw the stains we asked for our room to be changed and then we FOUND BED BUGS on the bed the second we got in there absolutely disgusting that’s why it’s so cheap also there’s random noises in the night from the walls DONT EVER COME HERE PLEASE DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR when i read reviews like this i always think there exaggerating but i promise im not worse hotel experience ever!!!!

My partner and I stayed at the Motel 6 for two nights in June. Walking in, we were greeted and got our room key in less than 5 minutes. The room we got was 142 and walking in, it looked good at first glance but taking a deeper look we found hair in the sheets, pillows and in the bathroom sink and tub. This is fine and an easy fix but in the bathroom someone left dirty used underwear. Now we were fully aware our room was never cleaned and we needed to switch rooms. I went to the front desk to explain what we saw and asked if someone could clean the room, the nice man at the front insisted on upgrading us to a better room and making sure it was clean. Our new room was 116 and it was great! Not much of an upgrade but it was a little newer and definitely cleaner than the last one. Overall our stay was good, service was awesome, and the location was great and near pretty much everything, the only thing this motel should work on is hiring some more cleaning staff and updating their bedding. Thank you!
