Excellent stay ... incredibly comfy beds, great A/C, clean kitchenette and bath. The gardens are beautiful: roses and flower beds with lawns, and picnic tables/chairs for enjoying the peace and quiet next to the marina. We also enjoyed the crystal-clear pool, which was big enough for lap swimming. Easy proximity to one of the best beaches on Long Island (Ponquogue ... where you don't have to be a resident to buy a day permit for parking). We arrived at the hotel late at night but made arrangements in advance, so the hotel was able to give us instructions for after-hours check-in (about 24 hours ahead of time, we received the instructions via email and text and also a personal phone call! So there were no worries about that.) We also loved the low-key restaurants and bar nearby. Highly recommend the Drake and will surely return.

The Drake Inn|My husband and I spent 3 days at the Drake Inn in Hampton Bays. We had the one bedroom suite with a kitchenette, coffee maker & living room area. It was very comfortable and perfect set up for us. The rooms were very clean, absolutely spotless! The location of this hotel is directly on a marina with a beautiful view and only about 1 mile from the closest beach Ponquogue. The grounds were so well kept and decorated with the most beautiful shrubbery and flowers. Even the pool was surrounded by flowers and was great to relax and swim in. The owner Neenee (not sure how to spell that 😊) was so accommodating and lovely to talk to. She served up fresh muffins and croissants in the morning for breakfast! I would absolutely stay here again.

My husband I loved our stay at The Drake Inn. Rented a one-bedroom bungalow w/a view of Penny Pond Marina. It had: Queen bed, shower bath, cozy living area (flat screen TV) with kitchenette (Keurig, mini fridge, real dishes/glasses, utensils).||||The interior had a clean, modern aesthetic. The grounds were as shown on their site: nice landscaping, pretty flowers. And the pool was so perfect after a hot day in the sun.||||The Management/front office was generous with their towels - and friendly/accommodating. Note: They're only there from 9am - 5pm - but was not an issue for us.||||Warning: If you need to be online constantly/fast - then the internet service can be a bit spotty...||||We usually stay on Main Street/Westhampton for the walkability to great eateries, so thought we'd have to drive to everything in Hampton Bays. But no! We walked to The Station (fun marina bar) + "The Hamlet"- a cute breakfast place. Plus a few places we walked past (FishTales, Beach Bar) - we'll have to try next time.||||If you go, try Gemelli's Gelato (a pretty place with Adirondack chairs on a big lawn) and Scotto's Pizza :)

My family planned a six day stay: When we arrived we found that there were no grills as was advertised. There was also a broken Ice machine. We were told that the pool would be closed at 5 PM every day, no exception.:||I packed food to cook so that we didn't have to eat dinner out every night. We needed ice for our cooler for the time spent at the beach. We had planned on swimming in the pool in the evening. All of this was a huge disappointment. ||When we were putting our things in the room when we arrived, the white tile floor was a mess because of earlier rain. There was only a wet mat on the concrete at the doorway, so wiping our feet before entering was not effective. The main room floor was a mess. I requested a mat or something to clean up the mess. I was met with an attitude from the women and then a man, he didn't introduce himself so I can only assume he was one of the owners. He was rude and gave me a moist yellow rag. The entire week we had to use their towels to wipe our feet and clean the floor. One day, I asked the housekeeper to clean the floor. We never had our beds made. ||Aside from all of the disappointments and lack of hospitality, (more like hostility) the location is really ideal. It is very expensive if you reserve with them. I found that out very late. If it wasn't for my great family and the beach, it was really a waste of money all around.||The local people I know and family members that visited us were shocked at the total inconsistency (lies) about the amenities on their website.||To summarize, if you want to have a fun week in Hampton Bays, stay at the Hampton Maid, don't stay at The Drake Inn.

I had a wonderful stay at the Drake Inn. Accommodations were modern, clean and comfortable. Great pool and peaceful location; close by the beach and with many good restaurants in the area. NiNi is so welcoming and accommodating, and goes out of her way to make sure her guests are comfortable and happy. Truly a great place to stay!

My husband and I stayed at the Drake Inn for a quick weekend getaway and had a great time. The Inn is very clean and I especially loved the soft and plush towels! Every morning that we stayed, we received muffins and croissants, which was lovely. There is a breakfast and lunch spot called The Hamlet, which has great food and is within walking distance. There is also The Station Bar right across the street from The Hamlet, which had excellent drinks and amazing food! The Inn has bbq's and seating throughout the property. It is located only minutes from the beach. We had a great time and will definitely return!

What a delightful getaway! Nini couldn't be more accommodating. Lovely setting and pristine clean designing. On arrival, fruit and chocolate with a pretty orchid on the dining table. Muffins and croissant in the morning. Pool area so inviting. Many pretty flowers on the grounds. Good location. Quick walk to bay. Overall, the most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

I loved everything about this experience! My boyfriend and I stayed at the Inn for a couple of days to enjoy the beach. We stayed from Tuesday to Thursday, and we had a blast! The Inn is cosy and near restaurants and the Beach, so we could walk pretty much anywhere. The staff was super friendly and ready to assist us in anything we needed.
