M Star Hotel Columbus North

This is the worst place anyone could choose to spend the night. For the love of God, I have no words to describe how disappointing my experience was. My husband and I traveled from our city to Columbus to spend New Year's Eve. We booked a good hotel because the plan was to return home on the 1st. However, we drank too much at some friends' houses and decided not to travel that day. We decided to look for a hotel near where we were staying to spend the night and travel the next day. When we arrived at the place, the reception was horrible. A rude and uneducated man. We checked in and went to the room. He gave us the card. When we entered the room, I almost fell backwards. The room was filthy. The bed was dirty and messy. Towels were thrown everywhere. The TV was on. It seemed like there was still someone in that room. Scared, we went back to the reception to explain the situation. The same rude man didn't even bother to apologize and threw another card on the counter. While I was waiting for my husband to return, I had another scary experience. Two men in a car. They stopped right next to me and were already coming towards me. Thank God, my husband showed up right away and we opened the second room and went inside. Imagine if I had been alone. I can't even think about what could have happened. Please, women, don't stop alone in this place. It's extremely dangerous. When we entered the room, it felt like we were in the 70s. I don't think there had ever been an update at this hotel. And the cleaning service, which by the way knocks on the door at 8 in the morning to wake us up, leaves a lot to be desired. Anyway, I'll leave some photos that speak for themselves. And to finish off, today is already the 6th and I still haven't received my $50 deposit that they charge.

Good place. They allow smoking in some of the rooms, really nice to not have to go out side.

Rooms are way outdated. It's the feeling of the 80s early 90 kinda room. Old TV not very clean. Lumpy beds old old old

Rating this above 1 is actually crazy! I never use the reviews but this time… GUYS HOPEFULLY YOU SEE THIS AND YOU DON’T STAY THERE. The room smelled AWFUL, we found bugs. I literally had to wear my t shirt around my nose in order to sleep just one hour because the smell was RIDICULOUS. The bathroom had BLACK MUD. The light outside of the bathroom didn’t work. The PILLOWS and the BED were not clean!!! It makes sense why they tell you they don’t offer refunds but I’m calling the bank! I have not idea how they can actually call that a HOTEL. And I know is just a single star hotel but I honestly don’t know how this still open for public.

Been here once and was not happy with the state of the room. It was horrible. The plumbing in sink was very slow to drain. Tub wasn't as bad but, it's gonna be soon. The heater/A/C unit was squeaking kinda loudly. The filters were so bad that the fan blades had a literal 1/4 inch layer of dust on them. The whole room wasn't good. We said something and without question, or a problem they gave us a new room. Much, much better. My buddy goes here quite often and said that he's never gotten a room like that B4. Said that's why he always goes here. It's not a 5 star hotel but, for what u pay, it's worth it. In my opinion.

The whole room is full of cockroaches. The toilet decoration and refrigerator are full of cockroaches. There were even bed bugs and I had to sleep in my car because of the no refund policy

Checking in may as well require a background check because the amount of info they request is absurd. The language barrier does make it very hard to understand what you're being asked for, but he was very nice. The rooms are beyond outdated. No microwave or mini fridge in the room. The piles of garbage around the property are not sight appealing. If the place had modern upgrades (new shower heads, new shower curtains, new beds/mattresses, microwave, fridge), it would be a 5-star place. For the price, it was worth it, but I can't say we will stay here again. Atleast their were no bed bugs.

My daughter went to this hotel after work one night to stay because she was tired and had to be back in the morning. (She works 50 mins from her house). The front desk clerk asked her 4 times if she was staying by herself. Then charged her 170 dollars when the website says 60 a night He put her room right by the front office when she parked her car and walked to her room the desk guy came out and asked her if he could make out with her. She felt really uncomfortable and thought she would just put the couch in front of the door but checking the bed (like I have always told her to do ) there were bed bugs in the bed. She took her card back and left. Please beware of this hotel!!!! I am so mad about this and not sure where else to go to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else.
