East Gate Motel

This place is local in my hometown. It was established in the 1950s not many pretty updates have been made but the hospitality is above the top. This family accomodates those on a budget by offering low prices. It is very private and peaceful. I personally appreciate the opportunity to have stayed here. While you maybe looking for a hot tub and fancy this may not be your place. I however return here at least once a year knowing this is a part of hometown history and highly recommend the hospitality and privacy this place continues to offer. It is close to shipping areas hospitals, bus stops and so much more. Again if you're looking for fancy accommodations this may not be for you. However being on a budget and finding a great place budget friendly I highly recommend. It is basic and private. Finding the peace I have found here is priceless. Checked out the room and asked if the air conditioner and heater are working. Manager was extremely rude and told us to get out and leave that he was not going to renters the room. Very unprofessional and discourteous individual. Price was cheap but you get what you pay for. I would not recommend getting this place to family or friends.

I paid $50 for one night there was no remote for the TV, fruit flies all over the room, no mini fridge and no microwave. Anytime I moved in the bed I bounced and there was no fitted sheet on the bed. I also woke up itching like something was biting me while I slept. Most uncomfortable stay in a motel I've ever had. I'll never be back.

The owner is a megalomaniac. Acts like a dictator. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

For the price the room is really small and there's no fridge or microwave.
