Foothills Campground, LLC

I stopped in at Foothills Campground a couple of nights ago and felt immediately comfortable there. The owner and her dad were super friendly and found just the right room for me just as evening was approaching. I also enjoyed a visit to the Camp Grounds Coffee shop the following morning where they serve a variety of flavored coffees and more. The hostess was a good friend of the campground owner and was also super friendly. I was very grateful for my stay there.

The camp ground is very nice. The restrooms and showers are awesome. The owner is super friendly and goes out of her way to make this the best camping experience you will ever have. Very well maintained and a beautiful location. By far the best camp ground I've ever stayed at. Next time I will be visiting the Big Horns I will definitely stay here.

We loved staying at this newly remodeled campground. Showers, bathrooms, and laundry areas was so clean with plenty of space. Christy and Heidi were very friendly and helpful. Christy always was there to help with suggestions or accommodations with our extra truck and trailer my parents were driving. We loved how pet friendly they were. Bruno, Muttley, and Ollie (I believe) was camp greeters and we really enjoyed getting to see them and hang out down by the tongue river. Which we also floated on tire tubes (that Christy suggested we could purchase from a place in Sheridan) since we were visiting in a heat wave and temps were over 100* at the time. We had never stayed here before but was told by locals she had really turned the place around after taking over and being the new owner. We stayed 7 nights here while visiting the bighorn mountain area. We even got to enjoy movie in the park, since park is located right behind the campground. Kids loved having a basketball court to go play at also. |Thanks |Shawn and Jayme

Great campground with easy access to Big Horn mountains. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The bathhouse and laundry are new and it is obvious at lot of work and tlc has been put in by new owners. Road noise was minimal, and park was bordered by the Tongue River and community park. Plus Tongue River Canyon is just 5 miles away, spectacular viewing!

THE SHOWER HOUSE WAS SO NICE AND NEW !!! U can change the colors behind the mirror. It was so cool. We had a camp site for our camper. The spot was under trees so we had a ton of shade and it was so clean. The WiFi worked great even inside our camper. The owner was great. She checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. There’s a ton of green grass to walk your pets around or let your kids go play on. They told us about the river access and the walking trails and even the local “swimming hole”. It was super quiet all the time. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know and it’s pretty much at the base of the mountain so very easy access. These guys have put a lot of time and money into this place. They have camping and cabins and tent sites. I enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful campground alongside a stream. Found this gem on our way back from Yellowstone and the drive through Big Horn National Forest. They can accommodate big rigs, they also have cute cabins. Bathrooms and showers are new and key super clean. Staff and owner are real nice and welcoming. Right in the town of Dayton so you can walk to restaurants. Would definitely stay longer next time.

My husband, son and I were very impressed with this beautiful, well manicured campground. The newly remodeled bathrooms were very clean and upscale! I can’t say enough about how much attention to detail the owner put into making guests feel very comfortable. This campground is definitely top-notch!

Stayed here over Thanksgiving in one of the new cabins. It was clean and cozy, and the owner was extremely kind and accommodating. Being right at the base of the mountain makes for a beautiful drive. I will be staying here every time I'm in the area.
