★★★★★Overall, our time at Miraval Arizona was truly memorable. The property is stunning and offers such a peaceful, rejuvenating atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the incredible spa treatments; the Deep Tissue massage at the Life in Balance Spa was outstanding! From the moment I arrived, the environment was serene and calming—perfect for unwinding. My therapist was incredibly skilled, attentive, and intuitive, focusing exactly where I needed it most. The treatment was both therapeutic and deeply relaxing, and I left feeling noticeably lighter, looser, and more refreshed. It was truly one of the best massage experiences I’ve had, and a standout part of my stay.. The fun and well-run archery sessions, and the exhilarating mountain biking experiences. The wine tasting was also a standout—relaxed, thoughtfully curated, and the perfect way to wind down the day. These experiences combined to create a wonderfully immersive and restorative retreat, and we’re very grateful for that.||||That said, we did want to share one piece of constructive feedback. Our World of Hyatt Globalist status was not acknowledged or honored, and we did not receive the benefits typically associated with that level of membership, such as room upgrades or stay credit. This was unexpected and somewhat disappointing, especially given the high standards of service we associate with both Miraval and the Hyatt brand.||||While this didn’t overshadow the many wonderful aspects of our visit, it was a noticeable miss—and the only reason we can’t quite rate the experience a perfect 10.

★★★★★Wow! Wow! Wow!||This is a wonderful resort. Every detail, from the stunning desert landscape to the thoughtfully curated experiences, radiates intention and care.||The staff are jut great. They are warm, professional, and si nice.||Miraval offers an incredible range of activities: yoga at sunrise, equine therapy, guided hikes, cooking classes, sound healing, and so much more. Each experience feels carefully crafted to help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect—with yourself and the world around you.||We loved every minute there.

NillOne of the most unique experiences I have ever been a part of. We were able to do some relaxing activities. These included massages, facials, body scrubs and much more. We thoroughly enjoyed the artistic activities such as painting and sculpting. They have so much to do and experience! Definitely needed more days to keep exploring, but nevertheless the time we spent there was well worth it!

★★★★★Just returned home from 3 nights at Miraval AZ and wanted to leave a few notes! This was my third Miraval visit (having been to the Berkshires/Austin locations previously), and I was excited to experience their OG location and to compare it to the others. I booked 2 nights on points plus 1 night cash (cyber week deal; used a Hyatt Prive travel advisor for that 1 cash night). In some unofficial way, they were able to "link" our reservations so we wouldn't need to move rooms, so definitely appreciated that. We were celebrating a babymoon, so it seemed like a great (adults-only) destination to pick pre-baby arrival. Here are some pros I loved, plus some nitpicky cons I observed. Despite the "cons," on the whole, it was another fantastic Miraval experience and I wish I could've stayed several more days and would absolutely return in the future (ideally for more than 3 nights!).||Pros:|-Even if you're only staying 3 nights, you really can "squeeze more juice" out of the stay by arriving early on arrival day and leaving late on departure day, as long as you're OK not getting into your room right away and having to vacate your room by checkout time (they get your bags for you, it's super easy/seamless). I really appreciate that they're pretty chill about this and not trying to push people out. I really wanted to take a floating meditation class on our arrival day at 10am, and they allowed me to schedule this and arrive early enough to get to take it (it was not offered again during our stay so it was my only opportunity). Similarly, on our departure day, we still had spa treatments scheduled through 2pm so we took our leisurely time finishing up with that, enjoying the spa locker room amenities to shower/change (had vacated our room by 11), and then finally departed closer to 3p.||-Really great staff--everyone was super friendly and hospitable. Really impressed by the customer service overall. They do all the luggage schlepping, will take you on a golf cart tour, radio to the transport team when you're heading to the parking lot to get your keys ready, etc etc. All the programming is led by experts who seem to really care and want to get to know guests and answer questions and educate!||-I tend to love most of the programming I've experienced at Miraval, but my favorites from this trip: country line dance, floating meditation, honey tasting, archery, athletic walk, water fitness||-Special shoutout to the experience planner/spa staff: I really wanted to schedule the prenatal aqua zen treatment, but even 6 weeks out, I was having some scheduling conflicts and couldn't seem to find availability (I think they probably only have 1-2 therapists who do this service and their times just didn't line up with the activities I had booked); anyway, after a few calls/emails and a bit of patience, the spa worked with me and the therapist to extend her hours and add a slot so I could fit this in, and I really appreciate their diligence in making this happen. Luckily, it was worth the hassle--one of the most memorable spa experiences I've ever done! The temp of the pool was perfect, it was totally private, and, true to its name, it was really "zen" and lovely, especially during the ~5pm golden hour.||-Not specific to this location, but worth noting nonetheless: one of my favorite things about Miraval is that the spa is open late into the evening so that you can get a massage after dinner and head to bed from there! I also really appreciate these extended hours because sometimes there's so many classes I want to take during the day that it's hard to "replace" that time with spa services. This provides more flexibility so I can do all the things and not have to choose one thing over the other quite so much. There's also less people around and it feels quieter/more private IMO.||-Appreciate the security/gates and the whole property feels very safe overall||-Appreciate that any guest has open access to the spa/spa amenities even if you don't have a spa appt that day--really nice being able to walk in/out freely||-I think this AZ location has the best pool setup of the 3 Miravals, plus we really enjoyed the accompanying bar (loved the blended mint lemonade and popsicles); there were no issues getting chairs, plenty of umbrellas for shade, a couple different options for pool/hot tub, etc. No indoor pool here but probs not necessary in AZ?||-As far as property layouts go, I liked AZ best. We had a really convenient room (300s) right between the spa and BMC, so that helped, but even if we hadn't been in that room, most of the rooms seemed to be pretty centrally located and quick/easy to get to between programming. I didn't feel quite as "rushed" getting from activity to activity (esp those that were scheduled back to back) as I have previously at other locations where I needed to factor in more walking time. Everything felt a little more condensed and just quicker/easier to get around, whereas Austin at least felt a bit more spread out (perhaps others like that more though!).||-As always, Miraval robes and bedding are the absolute best and oh-so-fluffy. After 3 visits, we finally committed to buying the full set (sold in gift shop or online...but gift shop is the way to go for the extra Hyatt points!) It arrived within a week and can't wait to get it all set up!||-I really appreciate that they aren't sticklers about "robe inventory" here like some spas are where they monitor them and make sure they're returned/keep tabs of inventory etc; you can wear your robe 24/7 (including to meals--and people do) here and nobody is making you return your robe by a certain time to a certain place.||Cons (these are all very nitpicky and not at all dealbreakers!):||-Annoying that resort credits are "per person" and not "per room"; seems like a small thing, but if my total was running over my allotted amount and my husband's was running under, it really would be more ideal if it was just one "pool" for the room. Instead, he had to add another treatment to ensure we fully spent his resort credit (first world problems I know). Not a huge deal, and I obviously understand why this is their policy from a $$ standpoint, but it would be nice to have an option to "pool" this together within a room or not. ||-I think their dinner reservation system needs a bit of work...I was told multiple times ahead of arrival that I would just be able to schedule our dinner reservations upon arrival (even though I wanted to schedule them ahead of time). But then upon arrival, we went to schedule our dinners, and the times we wanted (rather, "needed" because we had activities scheduled at all other times already) were unavailable. Not sure why they do it like this; I think at the other locations I scheduled our dinners ahead of time and it was much smoother. Also, I should note, that even though they claimed there wasn't availability at certain times, there were tons of open tables and they definitely are not scheduling "to capacity" on purpose. With all that being said, there is an option to dine without a reservation in the bar space (can order off the same menu) so it worked out in the end, but it all seemed pretty avoidable if they'd just let us schedule dinners ahead of time as we were scheduling our activities.||-Was disappointed to learn that, despite a VERY comprehensive and impressive spa menu, there is somehow not one couples massage option. I thought I was somehow just missing it and asked, but alas, no couples massages! Seemed very strange for a place like this, where a lot of couples are traveling to as a special occasion destination and would have strong interest in such a service! One of my spa treatments brought me to a room that actually had two massage beds in it, so I asked the therapist about it and she told me they USED to offer them before COVID...so i'm not sure why they haven't been brought back, but they should be. Austin at least offered one couples massage treatment, so not sure why this location doesn't (can't remember Berkshires).||-Despite the robust prenatal spa service menu, there was only one 80 min prenatal option which was kind of a bummer. I really would've liked to have the option to do an 80 min massage; not sure why this is not a thing. ||-I was surprised that the spa didn't have a specific prenatal massage table; of all places, you'd think Miraval would've invested in 1-2 of these, especially when they offer a fair amount of prenatal treatments! Instead, they these prenatal cushions that went overtop the normal table...these worked fine and I certainly don't blame the therapist who was lovely, but I just had higher expectations that they'd have a fancier table set up. Plus, when you add those cushions to the table, you no longer get to experience any of the heat from the table (at least on the upper portion of the body) since it's physically blocking you from any heat that would've been on.||-While I appreciate that the prickly pear scrub was offered as a prenatal option, they didn't use any of the same props that the prenatal massage did to allow me to face downward safely on cushions, so the scrub on my back was done with me sitting off to the side of the table, which was awkward and didn't feel super relaxing. Again, would've been nice if they had prenatal specific tables for these treatments. ||-Though the spa locker rooms in general were super nice and clean and well kept up, I did think they could've been better "stocked" with more "locker room" goodies (ie having razors/shaving cream, hair ties, more hair products/appliances, etc). ||-Overall I think there is a good variety of food/bev and everything definitely seems healthy/good quality/fresh (enjoyed the iced teas/lemonades offered too), but I wouldn't say the food is a highlight here (not specific to this location, I felt this way at the others too). Nothing was offensive/horrible by any means, but I wouldn't go to Miraval as a dining destination per se. Specifically, the desserts were really disappointing across the board--didn't have a single dessert in 3+ days that I actually enjoyed. I thought the same thing at the Berkshires, but Austin notably had better desserts from what I recall. On the other hand, the smoothies in AZ were far superior to Austin. I do appreciate they always had to-go containers out in case you just wanted to "grab and go" or were in a rush to get to an activity. And the coffee/smoothie bar is great to always have available, as well. ||-For a resort of this caliber/price, I did sort of expect a more impressive welcome amenity...even though we booked through a travel agent and communicated that we were celebrating a babymoon well in advance, the only thing provided was a little package of motivational cards (and it didn't arrive until our last day?). I've gotten much better welcome amenities at other (less $$) hotels (just as recently as 2 days prior at the Andaz Scottsdale, they gifted us a bottle of cider, choc covered strawberries, AND a baby onesie--and that was just for a 1-night stay!). I'm surprised Miraval didn't go more out of their way in this dept (even if it was just a little Miraval branded rubber duckie from the gift shop!).||-Not unique to this location but I also think it's strange that a property of this price/caliber doesn't do turndown service. Not a huge deal, I'll certainly survive without a pillow mint, but just strikes me as a way they could really up the ante a bit (or, it seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to not drop off cute little spa/zen treats, think: essential oil pillow spray, eye masks, educational notecard about the constellations that night, etc etc.)||-There is an on-site garden but it's pretty small (it sounds like they get a lot of produce from a larger one a few miles away); the Austin property's garden was definitely more impressive for touring purposes. I enjoyed meeting the farmer and still learning about their "soil program," but it was a pretty small plot. ||Again, despite these super nitpicky things, we still had a fabulous time and would return again in a heartbeat. Despite it being the farthest Miraval from home, I think the AZ location was my favorite and I'd absolutely fly back for another visit.

Nill1. The food was way below expectations for us with barely any options for dietary restrictions. You would imagine a place pushing healthy eating would be able to accommodate a vegetarian diet better but it was just bad most of the times. The smoothie bar is what got us through. 2. The room felt pretty outdated. The mattress especially was not comfortable at all. We slept terribly during our stay there and the showers in the standard king rooms were just badly designed and cramped. 3. Service was ok at best and usually just bad. I had a few questions before my stay and kept being passed around on the phone with no one answering the questions with a yes or a no. 2 separate times I ended up back with the initial person only for them to say that they would call me back. They never did. 4. For a place that pretends and advertises wellness and switching off from the world, I found it strange that absolutely everything at the resort was on sale and multiple signs continuously reminded me of that. We had 3 separate instances where people leading one of the classes tried to sell us their art or other paid classes. 5. The property is beautiful and just walking around the property, taking in the landscape was very relaxing. 6. The spa services were exceptional. It washed honestly the best part of the stay. I would honestly recommend a day pass to the spa and skip the stay which is just not worth the ridiculous premium

NillNot worth the money. The services and the food were wonderful, and I loved the phone-free zones, but the facilities were somewhat sad. The bed was extremely concave and made me sore (the woman at the front desk didn't seem at all surprised when I told her), the hammocks were broken, there was a broken fountain in front of the yoga center, the hangers in the retail store were all very dirty, and the women's spa area had tile that looked like it was 30 years old with missing grout, and a broken clock so you have no idea when you had to go to get your service. For what you pay, the facilities should be excellent.
