Freebies galore because they are closing soon. Consequently slots are tighter than ever. Probably why they are closing in the first place. Who wants to go and be disappointed every single time? Free buffet is not worth the time. Food is horrible. Staff at the food places have been rude most times I've been there. I still feel the need to tip them because i'm sure they arent paid well. At least that's what I've heard them complaining about. Walked out of a free room on a Friday night because it smelled horrible and sheets were dirty. Been there a hand full of times over the last year and have never won anything. Bonuses are super stingy. What's the point? Kinda sad because this place used to be quite the experience back in my day. Now it's just run down, dirty, and stingy.

Wow.. I bet in the 80s this place was popping. You can tell it was nice once. Inside very old feeling and the smell is awful. There is a non smoking floor on top where all the smoke rises too. We won't be back... Only positive is that the ride there along the river is scenic

We have been to the Rising Star Casino many times but never stayed in lodging so we finally did. Not a negative but the Casino/Resort in out a ways from bigger places which I think is a positive. Our room was clean, big (King sized non-smoking room) and the bed was very comfortable. The report had an indoor hot tub and heated pool - we enjoyed both! They also had a sauna, I haven't seen this in a hotel before, and loved it! They also had an exercise room right near the indoor pool which was very well equipped. When we where there, they were getting up their Christmas displays (indoors and outdoors) up (opens 1 November. I believe) which is 100% awesome and one of the free best displays I have ever seen! We got two free bottle waters in the room as well as other standard amenities such as cable TV, coffee/tea maker, etc. Parking is very plentiful and free. We plan to go back and stay another night in the very near future!

This place need to address its air quality. It is filled with cigarette smoke. Can even play a machine without choking on smoke. I don't smoke and everytime I leave my clothes smell like smoke and my car smells like smoke. How about the owners sit in there casinos and breath in this nasty air.

Two-Phased Review: The hotel is quite rundown, and the rooms are nothing special—very outdated. Taking a shower was nearly impossible as water barely came out of the showerhead. The air conditioning was loud and disruptive. In the so-called “gym,” kids were running around unattended in bathing suits, playing with weights and using the treadmill. Additionally, people were entering the pool area wearing shoes, raising serious concerns about hygiene and sanitation. On the positive side, the setup for kids during Christmas was wonderful. With Santa, music, reindeer, and festive activities, it’s a great spot to spend a few hours with your family—but I wouldn’t recommend staying overnight. The casino had a historical charm and was interesting to look at. However, it was uncomfortably cold, and smoking was allowed, which made the experience less enjoyable. This version maintains your tone but makes it easier to read and more polished.

Oh my, I'm sorry, but the casino itself left a little to be desired. It may have been due to visiting when there were very few patrons. Smoking is permitted throughout, and there are a lot of updates needed to flooring, etc. The service was great, and free beverages were provided. The RV park was new and very well-kept. Suggestion to exchange the locks on the shower/bathroom doors. The facilities were wonderful, but by the end of our stay, there was one bathroom left unlocked despite multiple signs showing how to be sure the door was unlocked upon leaving. I think changing the locks is the only way to solve the unfortunate user error. 😅

I was very disappointed in the way that the hotel has been let rundown. The carpets were dirty, my toilet was dirty, the seat toilet needed changed, the room was dark. The paint on my bathroom door frame was coming off. It is WAY PAST NEEDING UPDATES. Even the main restroom in the lobby was in ill repair. I was told the rooms at Belterra were $30 more per night. Pay the extra $30 and get an updated, nice, clean room.

I was going to ask when the buffet opens to a lady counting money at the coffee store I was nearly 6 inches in front of here. I told here excuse me 3 times! And she ignored me. Absolutely discussing behavior. The hotel is amazing though 100% stay here.
