Sea Mist Resort

Stayed here after being at another part of the Cape and I knew it was a mistake as soon as we walked in. Even though the front desk staff was friendly and the room was spacious, I immediate regretted my decision to stay there. The hotel is old and is in need of a big update. The hallway smelled a bit when we walked in too. The bathroom had spiders and spider webs which made me think it hadn’t been throughly cleaned. When we contacted the front desk they said they would send someone to attend to it and spray. There were still some webs and we found more spiders in the bedroom the next day. The rooms and furniture are old and tired with some stains on various pieces. At night we could hear the creaking of the bed in the room above us. The property is wooded and while there are amenities such as a tennis court and mini golf, they aren’t particularly well kept and the mini gift could be improved just by some pruning. The outdoor pool was nice and quiet and there was an indoor pool which was nice to have. The location is not ideal and I would not stay in the area again. The only thing the town seems to offer is the Commons and the limited restaurants were crowded with longs waits. It was a bit of a drive to anything we would want to do which added to the inconvenience. While we saved money staying there, I would never do it again and would have left early had we not prepaid. I would look elsewhere to truly enjoy your time in the cape.

The room or condo was very nicely decorated in the 70s and made us feel very at home. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. We may have went at the wrong time of year, but it seamed like there was a 1+ hr drive to do anything.

This is a timeshare resort that rents unused units. Virtually all timeshares have check-in at 4:00 PM and check out at 10:00 AM. I mention this because the previous review mentioned they didn't like the "early checkout." Unlike a hotel room, there is a lot of work in readying an entire condo for the next occupant, and that's why 10:00 is standard. ||The resort has two unit configurations, seven buildings with all rooms on either the first or second floor, and four buildings with townhouse units. We were in a townhouse unit. The kitchen was not as well equipped as most timeshares we've exchanged into, (no measuring spoons, dry measure cups, whisk, non-stick frying pan etc,) and there was no welcome pack of coffee, creamer, sugar. It's very rare to get a full kitchen on Cape Cod, however, so this is a minor complaint. We don't like to eat every meal out, so having a full kitchen is a huge benefit. ||Bathrooms were small and not luxurious, but adequate. There was bar soap but no shampoo or conditioner, which was unusual, so bring your own. The decor was unrelievedly neutral and could benefit from some pops of color, but carpeting and furniture was clean and comfortable. The bed had obviously gotten a new mattress recently as it was so comfortable we remarked that it was one of the best beds we've slept on in twenty-five years of timeshare exchanges. ||We enjoyed the outdoor pool, indoor pool, whirlpool, and sauna. We especially enjoyed the proximity to Mashpee Commons which is directly behind the resort, screened by a wooded area as a boundary. The Commons has upscale shops and several good restaurants, making it extremely handy for meals out. ||We liked the South Cape area and found Sea Mist very homey and comfortable. We would happily stay here again on future trips to Cape Cod.

Very nice timeshare. Fairly spacious, clean 2Br. We were in the second (top) level; note, no elevators. The "amenities/activities" bldg was a bit tired and not very attractive (swimming pool area), but the room was nice. Good location close to 2 shopping malls, and plenty of (inland) places to eat.

The location is convenient and the building we stayed in was very quiet with woods all around us. Our unit was 2 bath, kitchen, LR, and very large bedroom upstairs. It was much bigger than expected. There is no coffee, shampoo, or conditioner provided. The bed was very comfortable and the room was so quiet. The only thing we did not appreciate was the 10:00am check out. Unlike other resorts, check out is typically 11:00am. Seemed a little early. That is their policy and they strictly enforce it. On the other hand, they did let us check in 1/2 hour early.

Extra amenities and great location make Sea Mist an ideal choice and a good trade. Spacious unit on pleasant park-like property. Near Falmouth, ferries, beach, golf and shopping. One of the nicest timeshares we've stayed in recently.

Location suited my needs. Couldn't take a bath as the water was BROWN. Amd..tun doesn't hold water anyway... Went to hang up my light garland bit had to DUST BEFORE I COULD!!!! COBWEBS!!!! SMH.. Called desk for water so I could have tea or coffee in am nit couldn't give me any as he said he was ONLY ONE at desk. Told me I could bring CONTAIMERS and fill at the WATER FOUNTAIN! I took the coffee pot and 4 glasses from the kitchen and at 9,in the evening, had to drive up to office for water. The man at desk Friday eve offered to switch my room but it was 10 pm ny now Didn't bother Saturday as I didn't want housekeeping to have to clean after me in 2 rooms

Great place for kids & families. Mini golf is fun when the weather is nice. Rooms need updating, also TV's should in every bedroom. We have a great time every time we go. I would suggest lighting be added to the paths behind the rooms. It is pitch dark there at night & many people use those paths.
