**Amazing Resort Experience! 🌴✨** I recently stayed at Blue Lake Resort and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service. The resort's location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and beautifully landscaped grounds.

This place is magical. My husband's family has been going here for 40+ years and now we go every year with our own children! They count down the days all year until we go back to "Blue Lake"

Beautiful place but new owners have ruined any attempt at a good vacation. Tina does not want to be bothered at all, so beware. Her fake smile when she takes your money fades quickly if you are in need of anything! We had sewage backup in our cabin and decided to leave before our last night. Long story short, they SUED us when we decided not to pay for the last night with these problems!! Her husband walks behind her with his tail between his legs not even mumbling a word, looking embarrassed to be with her. BRING BLANKETS!!!!!!!!!!! They are not supplied and if you ask for any, Tina will be upset to have to offer any! What hotel/cabin doesn’t supply them??? She just doesn’t want to do anything, just sit in her house and not be bothered, god forbid have to wash blankets! Forget about the game room. It’s Tina’s storage closet of tacky yard ornaments, life vests, tables full of who knows what. There is no room for any type of “play”. This was a place my family visited for almost 30 years before the new owners took over. They have ruined it for us. Don’t waste your money to be felt like you are an intrusion. There are way too many nicer places to enjoy on this side of the state, guaranteed.

Not even deserving of one star!! This place has went downhill since they took over from the previous owner Clay Woodard. You do not get a feeling of being welcomed at all. BEWARE OF SEPTIC ISSUES!!! Ours backed up and so did our sons on our last night there in May 2024 and she agreed to not charge us for the last night when we left early. She then took us to court saying we owed her for the last night!!!!!!! Theft of services is what she had on the small claims document!! We didn’t stay there the last night!! We live 2 1/2 hours away and went to the mason county courthouse for $166.75 because she thought we wouldn’t show up. Tina should not be in the hospitality business. She seems very miserable and does not care about any issues that you may have during your stay. They do not have blankets in the cabins and if you ask for any, beware, her irritable self will go into detail about how you need to bring your own. What cabin, hotel, or any other nightly rental doesn’t provide BLANKETS???? She’s lazy and just doesn’t want the job of washing them. Her laziness is on full display with her unkept yard and the so-called play room that is chock full of random life jackets, board games, boxes of who knows what scattered all about with no room for playing. The kitchens are set up from the 1950’s with metal cabinets and metal countertops and a small cube sized refrigerator which is ridiculous. Bugs are everywhere!! The beds are small double size and extremely uncomfortable. Kitchen table is also from 1950’s and no comfortable seating. Rummage sale plastic coated chair in the living room and a plastic coated futon not comfortable enough for a child. The ovens don’t stay lit, good luck getting the pilot light on in them dinosaurs. Tina will constantly invade your personal time passing by your cabin and checking on you. She will tell you that you cannot fish off her docks because she wants you to rent her motors with the boats provided that have NO ANCHORS!!! Save your money and go somewhere you are welcomed and the rent is reflected of the accommodations and services provided.

Our family stayed at Blue Lake Resort for a week in the summer two years in a row. Never again. We enjoyed the beautiful lake and amenities but we were made to feel very unwelcome our last visit. That spoiled it for us. The new owners are accommodating without being actually friendly. Tina's attempts at hospitality do not feel genuine. It was not an issue until our last visit. She acted more like we were a nuisance, which was surprising because we were there during a slow week with only one other family staying there. We did nothing to annoy anyone or damage the place and we paid on time. When we checked out, we were told to get off the property to make way for "paying guests." The place was empty except for the other family! It was a shock to be treated so rudely and without provocation. If they don't have the temperament or personality for the hospitality business, they are going to be miserable and their guests will be, too. This year we are going to stay at a place where we feel like welcome guests, not just paying ones.

We’ve enjoyed coming for several years and just returned from another trip. Very peaceful and picturesque location and the Alpers are always friendly and helpful.

Beautiful spot. The lake is great for fishing. The owners are awesome. They sell wood, ice and bait on site. The cabins are rustic while still being comfortable, they are also stocked with cooking basics and other thoughtful items. They have paddle boats, kayaks, john boats and canoes for resort guests. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing fun spot for vacation. Good for families also, there's a bunch of kids toys for the sand on the beach and a playground. The beach is very well kept and the water is crystal clear. Love this place.

Incredible! Perfect Up North Michigan getaway to kick off the summer. Everything you need and nothing you don’t, the cute, cozy cabins fit us and 2 kids perfectly. Cabins and grounds are clean and well maintained. Plenty of things to do, they have kayaks, rowboats, and games available to use. The lake is gorgeous and quiet, cleanest and clearest inland lake!! They even have a lovely sand beach and several docks. We had a blast fishing and kayaking our whole time there. Tina and Rob are absolutely wonderful hosts, welcoming and available for anything you need. Can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to go back 😊
