Riverwood Resort

We went for bowling yesterday and they were short staffed and our lanes kept breaking the 3 guys who showed up for work need a raise they were so great staying calm while dealing with all the issues their smiling faces in all the stress was awesome to see! my family was accommodated extra time for our lane breaking delays and free pizza which was so greatly appreciated by us they went above and beyond to make sure our experience was still memorable and enjoyable!!! Tysm JIM your great!!!

Went to the bowling alley with a school team. The alley was comfortable and cleaner than most alleys we have been to. HOWEVER, the alley refused to provide pitchers of water and cups for the students bowling and informed them that they could purchase Bottled water at the cost of $3 per bottle. The teams were there to bowl 2 matches for the day which meant they were there for 3.5/4 hrs. Mind you the teams also pay for the Lanes when they bowl, just as the public walking in who ARE offered and given pitchers of water and cups for the bowlers. Regardless of the quality of the Lanes, this was beyond frustrating given there is no other way for the students to obtain water beyond what they may have brought with them, unless they pay the $3 per bottle. In my opinion, denying these teenagers water when needed is despicable.

Be careful when and what time you get food served to you. The menu does seem appealing and does taste exceptional. Slightly over priced, but yoj are also paying for convenience. It's about a 50-50 chance as whether your food will be prepared correctly and safely. Bowling great, lanes are mediocre for PBA bowlers. And same can be said for golf, the greens are mediocre, but proportional to the price. At times the service can be understaffed, it may just take time for them to serve you. Overall you get what you pay for, besides the food, at Riverwood/989 Bar & Grill.

Great service with kind / friendly staff! The computer games for score keeping were super fun! The bowling lanes themselves are a little outdated and in need of maintenance but it’s a really fun place to play still! Took me back to bowling as a kid with of the nostalgia of the lanes. Great bar and lounge and the food was excellent. Fantastic accommodations!

Attended a special event here. The buffet dinner was very tasty & the room had an excellent layout w/ nearby restrooms on both levels. Staff were accommodating at the mini bar. Location is west of WMU campus. Didn't stay overnight so can't comment on rooms or other features.

Good bowling alley bowling counter is not always at their spot rather sitting at the bar watching the football games but it is a good place to go for good bowling and a good time.

Great course renovated since I last played and for the much better. Greens play a bit fast but consistent and the fairways are friendly. Club house is very nice and a great staff makes the whole experience wonderful. Get some hot dogs at the turn, they're some beefy boys!

Just had an encounter with the supposed owner of the golf course and she was very rude and not welcoming at all. She talked to us like we didn’t have a place to be there. Not a very nice way of welcoming people to “her” course.
