Wallowa Lake Resort

Awesome location for a stay at Wallowa Lake! We enjoyed 5 nights in a super clean little cabin conveniently located to walk to the lake and marina, miniature golf courses (two courses), horse stables, go carts, the Tram, the Grill restaurant, Vali's restaurant, and the cute little shops. Check-in was so easy! The owners are so kind - a great experience. ||The cabin had two beds, a little living room with gas fireplace, comfy couch and chairs, plus a dining table perfect for four. The kitchenette had a full refrigerator, regular stove with oven, microwave, and fully stocked with plates, cups, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, dish towels, and dish strainer. The beds all had linens with quilts, and the bedroom had a dresser, and a door to a back deck area looking out to the lawn. The bathroom had a full size shower with tub, small sink vanity that didn't have counter space there but there was a shelf above the toilet to put your toiletries. (I would recommend a small shelf by the sink too - which would be helpful). The cabins have rustic charm, and could use some updating, but were so comfortable and clean it made our stay enjoyable. ||Wallowa Lake Resort offers cabins and the Lodge rooms too. There are cabins with views of the lake, we chose this one by the river as it was close for our family gathering. The lawns in the area of this cluster of cabins was so lush and green, with nice trees for shade. The location was so wonderful, we literally parked our car and walked everywhere. Shops in the area have the nicest people working there, many are owners who live at the lake or nearby in Joseph. ||Highly recommend a stay.

Great home to stay in. Got to see several deer and squirrels. Saw a fox the first morning. Can't wait till next year so I can go again. Love the

We rented the Nutcracker Inn. Perfect for a large group. So spacious and really worked out for me in a wheelchair. Brought a ramp for outside entrance. We will be back.

I come here often and every time is better than the last. The resort owners are hardworking and are more than accommodating, they always give a friendly smile and wave. If you are looking to get away this is the place, the cabins are clean and charming and the scenery is amazing. All the staff here are friendly and do a great job making sure your stay is great. Thank you for our stay!

We recently booked a three night stay for our 33rd anniversary. We arrived to find there were plumbing issues and toilet was not flushing. They came to try to repair but said they would have to replace the toilet the next day. We found the cabin furnishings to be uncomfortable. The following morning my husband fell in the very slick tub with no safety non slip mat. (they later told us it was under the sink). We ended up leaving that morning, only staying 17 hours. We asked for a refund of at least partial payment. Never once did they inquire if my husband was okay. He was not. His fall broke the toilet seat and he hurt his back. We were very disappointed in their lack of compassion & empathy.....only caring about money. We will never stay here again. They would rather have the money, than a satisfied customer and poor review. :-(

We were of two minds regarding our stay at the resort. The lake, resort and surrounding mountain property are indeed beautiful and definitely worth the visit. The cabin we rented was not what we expected. It was very cute, as the website images showed, but was located right next to the road and across the street from the go-cart track making it a non-starter. The two gals running the office were very sympathetic and worked hard to find us another cabin which they ultimately did. They were great! The second cabin was not nearly as cute; in fact, it was quite "rustic." The gas grill was really funky and did not work well, but we were able to use it anyway. The wifi was very spotty and all but unusable. The cabin was not clean enough in our opinion, especially considering the additional $30 cleaning fee we were automatically charged when we made the reservation. The cabins were not near the lake, although they were more or less within walking distance if you are not carrying your gear (chairs, food, books, etc.). On the plus side, our small cabin was reasonably priced and the kitchen was well stocked. Having said all that, we still had a good time and enjoyed our stay.
