The Lodge at Eagle Crest

I was very excited about this trip until I got to our room. The photos made it seem super nice, but it was not. The room was below average on cleanliness. The drapes were filthy, the headboard was ripped, the sinks did not drain, the shower head was dirty with buildup and the remote was broken. I called down to request towels 2 times and they never came.

Positive: The room setup was nice for our situation. Having separate room with king bed. Negative: Pool is a drive from the hotel to a separate facility. Bed was old and hard as rock. Very thin blankets. Room was not clean. There was a hairbrush and charger between the night stand and the bed. So clearly was not cleaned.

When we arrived at the location, we thought we had arrived at the wrong place. The location does not look like the pictures. We located the entrance and made our way inside to check in. This was probably the most pleasant part of our stay. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and helpful. We made our way to the back of the building where I room was easily accessed. Upon walking in we were a bit taken back. The hallway was not dirty but very very dated. We walked into our room and immediately looked at each other in disbelief. We were shocked at how dated everything was. It was a very clean room, nothing was wrong with that at all. The beds were definitely not as comfortable as we have at home and the pillows, you may want to bring one from home. Whoever took the photos of this location did a tremendous job. But if you are looking for a nice luxury resort. This is not it. I was very disappointed ☹️

Positive: "" Negative: The carpet looked dirty. The toilet was clogged when we got there and nearly backed up to the point of overflow. When I tried to call the office to report this, I found that the house phone was dead.

Positive: The hotel is not near town, its a resort on a golf course - we travel with dogs and love the spacious grounds Negative: Beds are a little uncomfortable

Beautiful resort, the rooms are really spectacular (I got a fireplace and a balcony on the 2nd floor, with a TV in the sitting room and one in the bedroom. The place itself is a bit dated; lots of scuff marks along the walls and very worn carpet. The staff were friendly though I expressed being upset about arriving late and not having much time left in the pool; they failed to reassure me that they would let it stay open longer (as they have done for me at much less high brow of places). That being said they DID let me and another guest stay out in the hot tub longer than the closing hours without coming to bother us, which I deeply appreciated. Outdoor pool under the stars was worth the drive itself!

We just visited this resort for our second time. We didn't hold high expectations for the rooms as we know they are outdated. However, our daughter loves the pool there so we came back solely for that reason. | |How could this go wrong with no expectations? The air conditioning in our room did not work. We asked the hotel staff twice to have someone go into our room, check it and try to adjust the thermostat in case we were not setting it correctly. They did the checks while we were out and about and provided zero update to us. The air conditioning was clearly broken because the only they did was leave a fan on the floor. They didn't offer us a different room. They didn't offer a discount on our stay. The response when we finally went back to the front desk was, "sorry that happened to you." What? Seriously?||The room never got below 77. That's unacceptable! And for them to basically tell us to suck it up when we paid $418 for two nights is a slap in the face. ||With that, I might as well show the issues with the room which I would of never noted if they would have simply offered us a new room with working AC. See the pictures; dirty, broken, too worn not to replace. ||My wife and I are not the type of people to throw fits in order to get our way, so we just dealt with it. Too bad they won't make an effort to help nice people and returning guests.

Positive: THe area the Hotel was in Negative: We had a problem with the Heater in the room. It was stuck on and thermostat did turn off when the temperature hit 70. We had to get up through out the night and turn it off and on
