I've been going here since I was little. Everything is amazing. You can rent boats and other lake stuff for free as well. They also have a bunch of stuff on the lake like big trampolines and stuff to jump off of. Love making memories here!

My happy place 🥰 Been coming here for 20 some years.. so much fun! Indoor pool, lake, tent/RV & trailer camping spots. Restaurant & bar, weekend activities. Beautifully kept grounds. Friendly staff & wonderful memories.

Enjoyed our stay in the Island Cove cabins. The staff at Captains Cove are friendly and helpful. They all pitched in on Tuesday during our stay, along with people from the permanent sites after the storm on Monday night, cleaning up all the debrie the storm left, cutting up fallen trees and picking up branches throughout the resort. I commend Captains Cove on keeping the resort clean and making sure guests and campers are enjoying their stay.

When we got there we didn't know where to go, no signs. One of our park models door didn't shut properly, another one the tub drain didn't work properly drain really slow, and our bed had dry blood stains on the bed sheets ..but didn't realize it until we were going to use the bed the second night there. The cleaning crew was in one of the park models at 10am, and we could stay until 11am, talk about pushy people. We won't be coming back. The lady at the office was very friendly.

Seriously the best place ever! Our parents used to take us here back in the 1970's when we were kids to camp. We would meet up with our aunts, uncles and cousins and we would have the best time. For the last 21 years we have been holding our week long family reunion here. I can't say enough about this place. So many memories and we love everything about it. We will continue to hold our family reunions here for as long as we can!

Honestly, the customer service is passable at best. We made reservations through coast to coast with specific requirements and we did not receive them, as the spots are first come first served. It was never stated on the site. There are a lot of trees which is great for shade, but shoddy for driving through with a big rig. There are no signs coming in for where the front office is located. The don't answer the phones, which a resident stated to me and we found to be true. We honestly won't be back. As far as the photos here, the playground and beach are very nice. The sites for camping are laid out weird and odd angles making getting in tricky and difficult with all the trees.

Gate house is unattended, you need to go to the office to check in. No signs directing you there. After checking in you have to go find your own site. Only a limited full service sites available in the south section of of the park, you have to serpentine around trees to get back to them. There is only one dump station that is inconvenient to get to. There are only two showers one attached to the building where the office is, the other is by the dump station. The Thirsty Whale is a decent restaurant and bar. There are plenty of activities for all ages. There’s a cool floating climbing wall to jump off of into the lake.

Captain's Cove is my HAPPY PLACE 100%!! I live 3 hours away and each time I'm so excited to come here! Everyone in the office is super sweet and helpful. The campground is so beautiful with all sorts of things to do for kids and adults. It's very clean and well maintained. I recommend coming and checking it out for yourself ❤
