Have stopped at the bar several times and every time I had enjoyable experience. Bartenders are friendly and customers are friendly as well

The Flanum's are working hard to make this a great bar and grill. The Pub Style Fish Sandwich was really tasty. The beverages were nice. Avery (Ed's daughter was a great waiter!!!)

We have not stayed here, but we have frequently dined here and ended up spending the evening. Amazing food--the fried chicken on Thursdays is to die for. Saturday night is rib night and Friday is fish fry. Both are awesome. I could go on and on about the food. The service might be a little slow, but the place is so friendly it never is a bother. Owners are hands on--Mike in the kitchen and Angie at the bar which makes for a great evening.

We have been coming to Tall Pines for years summer weekends. Always a welcome, excellent service and top grade value food! Times may be a little wait, but worth the wait and never ignored during the busy times. Angie and Mike run a great place full of fun and fantastic food! Superb hosts.

Went here looking for some place new for dinner around the area. Service was good, although it seemed to be a little while to get our food. It was a little more casual than what we were expecting but the atmosphere was lively. I had the Italian beef & cheese sandwich as they were touting their Chicago ties with their Cub propaganda on the walls and it looked absolutely fantastic when it came out. However, the meat was very dry and bland. No peppers or seasonings on the beef. Could have used some giardiniera or something. It just kinda felt like it was cooked in a broiler oven or something, and I actually had to put some ketchup on it to get it down. The others I was with seemed to enjoy their meals as they had the chicken dinner, but it certainly wasn't outstanding. I don't expect much from anything having to do with Chicago but Italian beef is something that actually should be good when labeled so.

I love Tall Pines! The food is the best around!! The service is always with a smile and they make you feel like your part of the family! I love Angie for surecshes a gem! Mike is the best cook in town. Thanks Hope for always so friendly! Good luck! Thanks to all of you.

This isn't listed under restaurants for Hayward but it should be! The meals served in the bar are excellent. The fish fry was one of the best I've ever had. Another night we had tasty burgers with homemade potato chips. The salad was very high quality greens, which is rare to find even in expensive super clubs. I've heard the Sat night ribs are to die for. Also accessible by boat with a convenient dock. So even if you don't stay at this resort be sure to visit for a meal. Great friendly service too. And reasonably priced.

Very happy with our experience at Tall Pines! Spacious, very week equipt and clean cabin. Short, level walk to the lake with own dock. Fabulous food at the bar/restaurant, along with the BEST Old Fashions! Angie and Mike were so friendly and great to work with. We recommend Tall Pines and plan to return.
