Khanabadosh was a true find! A recommendation from a friend who has stayed there many times and we weren't disappointed at all. We traveled as a couple and got our privacy and the quiet that we so craved. Food is customized, and we had quite an array. The walks were amazing, as was our room on the 2nd floor with a balcony. Highly recommended. We didn't interact with the dogs as we were both scared. The owner, very sweetly, kept them away. One of the nicest places we have stayed in.

Staying at Khanabadosh was like a warm embrace from a close friend. Geetika, our host, welcomed us with such genuine hospitality that it instantly felt like home. The kids adored the playful pups on the property, and we were all smitten by the mountain views from the second-floor rooms. Don’t miss the breakfast—Geetika has somehow turned even simple dishes into memorable treats. And for all the book lovers, the library is pure magic! We can’t wait to come back and make this a yearly family tradition.

We went to Khanabadosh as a large family group and booked out all their rooms. From the second we got there our stay was perfect. The location of the property is idyllic and peaceful- there is not much else around. The place is ideal for those that want to enjoy the mountains. You can sit with a book (from their lovely and extensive library) in the garden and take in the view or you can choose to explore the innumerable little hill trails that go through the surrounding Deodhar forests. Whatever your choice of recreation, their ever attentive staff will go out of their way to make you comfortable and will also ensure that you are always very well fed. We were there for 4 days and every meal that we had was excellent- not one item on the menu was repeated. Every meal was discussed with us in advance and was made in keeping with our preferences. I would also recommend asking them to arrange a bonfire and an outdoor tandoori based meal one evening because ours was exceptional. ||The rooms themselves are spacious and very comfortable. They are also well appointed with large flat screen TVs, electric kettles for tea/coffee and a surprisingly good wifi connection. The staff keeps the rooms spotless and provides a turndown service as well. It is as good as anything I have experienced at any 5 star hotel. The bathrooms are all spotless and well stocked with all the toiletries that you may need.||The management and staff are also very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and are more than happy to help you organise outings and activities unrelated to their property (just like any good hotel concierge service). ||The property is also dog friendly and there are three resident golden retrievers, each of whom is of a sweeter disposition than the last. But, if you are not keen on dogs (as were some in our group), then the staff will ensure that the dogs get nowhere near you and are barely seen by you.||All in all I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking soak in the Himalayas!

Khanabadosh is a slice of heaven nestled in the mountains, and I feel lucky to have found it! Everything here, from the cozy decor to the friendly staff (including Bruce Lee, the sweetest golden retriever you’ll ever meet), is designed to make you feel right at home. The library is incredible—I've never seen a homestay with such an amazing collection of books. And the food? Absolute perfection. The al fresco dinners under the stars were our favorites. If you’re looking to unwind and reconnect with nature, this is your spot. We've already recommended it to all our friends!

We visited as a family in September and fell in love with the place. Their food is something else. But the nicest part of the house is the library. Over 6k books! Each of us got a personalized amenities basket that had pretty much everything we needed. And the gift bags were such delights. Turned all of us into squealing teenagers. If you don't come here, I doubt you'll know the joys of staying with a real family. The walks we loved too

A very scenic, leisurely 8 hour drive from Delhi brought us to Khanabadosh in Mashobra ; a visit that had been on our wishlist for long. The sheer prettiness of the surroundings, the warm , gorgeous interiors of Khanabadosh and the exuberant hospitality of the host and staff set the tone for a perfect getaway.Curated, delectable home cooked meals ( gluttony alert) necessitated some level of mitigation activity - but then there are plenty of activities to choose from ( depending on how adventurous or laidback the guests are) . The evenings were spent by a bonfire complemented by star gazing in the company of the smartest , most adorable golden retrievers Gabbar, Bruce Lee and Bullet Singh. A special shoutout to our wonderful host Geetika , and her extremely well trained , courteous staff who made our stay so memorable. Highly recommend a trip to Khanabadosh , it can be easily done on extended weekends, and you’ll want to go back for more.

A girlie group, all we wanted was masti and what a time we had !! From a movie night with popcorn and chicken nuggets to picnic by the stream with maggi made on wood. All our unreasonable demands were met by Geetika and her staff with a smile. The dogs accompanied us everywhere, and we even got a masseuse after the long trek to Shali Tibba! |We are probably going to come here every year. Full marks to staff, especially Kamla Didi, who pampered us till the end.

Best host, best staff, best food, best service. If ever one wanted a quiet get away in a gorgeous place Himachal is the obvious choice and in Himachal, khanabadosh in Mashobra is the place that is now my perfect go to... If you ever want a 'Your wish is my command' experience just come here and let the host, Geetika, know your wishes well in time and see the magic play out. Also a must mention is that I'm kinda wary of dogs.. so the effort was taken to introduce me to them easily one at a time and then the love they showed me was unbelievable...
