Famstel Gokarna - Beach Stay

Visited the place November starting. Manager, Staff, all are very friendly. He described about gokarna, people and culture. Food is delicious. We have tried multiple dishes during our stay and all of them were good. We stayed in a tent. It was sufficient enough for 2 people. Only 1 issue I faced for tents common washroom is there. But it was clean and well maintained. This place is at front of middle beach which makes your dining more memorable. We had here great trip also got some hidden places explored told by manager.

We went in monsoons so not sure if this service is the same throughout the year. First of all - frequent power cuts are a HUGE problem especially as all the rooms are non ac and you don’t want to do the mistake we did Secondly, no hot water facility in bathrooms. Rooms are small, beach view was covered in drapes, wifi is inconsistent. Same with food, some hits and some misses. The beach nearby was extremely dirty and smelly. Approach road not great but autos or cars will go easily. Bit isolated location wise. However, Service was good. They allowed early check in and late check out and also fixed the power at 1 am when we pestered them. We had paid 3k which was costly for the place but if you get it for lesser works.

Visited this place in the last week of September. It was kind of off season as the inflow of tourists will begin from mid of October. Akshay, handles administration, was very friendly. He was describing about gokarna, people and culture. Vegetarian food is decent. We have tried multiple dishes during our stay and all of them were good. We stayed in a cottage. It was sufficient enough for 2 people. We could have asked for more. This place is very close to beach. Its quiet and calm overall. However, after sunset the surroundings are bit dark with no proper lighting. Overall experience was good. Good place to stay if your budget does not exceeds 1.5k/night

Nestled right by the beach, the location is simply stunning, offering breathtaking views and easy access to the serene sands of Gokarna. The accommodation was comfortable and well-maintained, featuring cozy rooms that blend rustic charm with modern amenities. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive.

Hello, We had booked a quadruple room, however the room is very small for 2 cots; the room actually fits 1 cot appropriately. The bad part was there was no mirror in the room and there was one in the bathroom, so it was difficult for each one of us to wait for the one after the other to go to bathroom and get ready, mirror is a basic need in rooms. The other bad thing was, there is no hot water and we had to use the coil which is actually a danger one if not handled right. We feel that we paid too much for the room.

We got to know about Famstel Gokarna in Instagram. We were initially hesitant if the place is as beautiful as it is in the photos and video. We took our chances and booked the stay last year 2023 and our experiences were marvelous as the stay is right next to the beach and just a few steps away(10-15 steps, you are on the beach). The food here is delicious especially the Nutella pancake and with the amazing view of the waves and beach. We also travelled to the same hotel this year and had the same and better experience than before. Akshay and the staff are very helpful and warm welcoming.

The property is very well maintained and managed, food taste was good. I would suggest opting for double rooms. The property has a good sea view.
