An excellent stay with beautiful views of the tea plantations and mountains near Coonoor. The property is well maintained and offers a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. It is owned and managed by a wonderful, caring family who make you feel right at home. They also provide delicious, homely food, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature!

I recently visited Coonoor for a weekend getaway with my family (wife, parents, and our pet). Having visited Coonoor just a couple of months ago, I hadn't come across this property on Booking.com before, but I soon learned it is barely a month old! We were looking for a relaxing, pet-friendly stay with no strict itinerary, great views, and a decent budget. This homestay ticked every single box. Located right in the middle of a stunning tea plantation, it requires a bit of an interior drive, but the breathtaking scenic views make it entirely worth the effort. **Pros:** 1. Scenic Location: The property is surrounded by lush tea gardens, offering fantastic and peaceful views right from the homestay. 2. Cleanliness & Space: Because it is a brand-new property, everything was spotless, and there is ample parking space available. 3. Welcoming Hosts: The host, Alok, and his family were warm, accommodating, and made us feel right at home. 4. Great Food for All Ages: They have a dedicated kitchen and dining area serving freshly prepared home-cooked meals. This was perfect for my aged parents who could comfortably enjoy the complimentary breakfast and reasonably priced paid dinners without any dietary worries (note: lunch is not provided). 5. Pet-Friendly: They charge an additional ₹300/- per night for pets (as of now), which is very reasonable and completely fine by us. **Cons & Scope for Improvement:** 1. Noise Policy Enforcement: This was our only major concern. A group of young bachelors was staying at the same time, enjoying a bonfire and drinks. While having fun is completely understandable, their speaker music was played aloud until 3-4 AM, which severely disrupted our sleep. I had to get up in the middle of the night, go to the balcony, and request them to lower the volume. Recommendation to owners: Please restrict the time until which music can be played aloud on the property to respect the rest of the guests. 2. Room Amenities: While a hot water kettle is provided in the room, tea cups were only given upon request. Since the kettle is already there, cups should be a mandatory inclusion in the rooms. 3. Toiletries: Toothbrushes and toothpaste were also only provided when requested. These should ideally be made a mandatory part of the standard toiletries provided at check-in. 4. Water Pressure: The water pressure in the washrooms was quite low. This might just be due to the high altitude, but it is an area that could be looked into by the management. Overall: It is a wonderful, budget-friendly place to unwind with family. Considering they are still in their developing phase, with just a few minor operational improvements and a strict quiet-hour policy, this will easily be a 5-star experience. Highly recommended for a quiet family getaway!

Apna Ghar, feels home away from home but of-course with a beautiful view of the tea gardens. The moment I entered this amazing property I fell in love with it. This was a surprise visit and was one of the prettiest and new properties around. The lawn is clean and spacious you can take a toll around. The place is easily accessible too, if someone wishes to get their families and friends to Nilgiris, this is the place. Also, there is this beautiful open kitchen you can just sit there and enjoy the beautiful nature, The host Alok has been maintaining couple of more properties around and this one is hands down the best one for its scenic view. Definitely coming back here again.
