This property outdoes all expectations you would have in such an area. The tents are clean, neat and super comfortable. The team is more than willing to go out of their way to make you comfortable. The host Mr Norbu is a gentleman and makes sure you have a pleasant experience at his property. Jimmy bhais food is something you can't miss. Super Experience!

Recently stayed at The Hermitage and had a great experience. Their camps are well-maintained with a fully functional attached toilet and bathing area along with comfortable bedding. The food served at the place was beyond expectation given it was complimentary with the stay. The North Indian preparation was really good. I would highly recommend this place in Jispa.

The hermitage camp and dine is a true gem. The camps at riverside retreat are cozy and well-appointed, set in a beautiful natural setting. But the real standout is the on-site Dining restaurant, which serves up fantastic seasonal, locally-sourced cuisine. From the fresh trout to the creative vegetarian dishes, every meal was simply delicious. The service was also excellent. I can't wait to go back!

Located by the side of the road, the place offers Swiss tents to stay in. The accomodation is quite comfortable and cozy. The property has been tastefully done up, and the service, led by the highly experienced and competent Jimmy, is personalised. A short walk takes you to the Bhaga River, a great place spend an hour or two.

This place is just awesome with some breathtaking views and flabbergastic food which you can experience during your stay or just stop by during your journey. The staff is hospitable and ambience is lovely. They also have other properties at Keylong and Panagong lake.

The Hermitage's location is ideal for anyone embarking on or concluding the Ladakh circuit. Starting your journey here gives you the perfect energy boost, with the serene environment and fresh mountain air revitalizing your spirit. The breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings provide a mental and physical recharge that is essential for the adventures ahead. After the rigorous and often exhausting journey through Ladakh, returning to The Hermitage feels like coming home. The tranquil ambiance and comfortable accommodations offer a restful haven where you can unwind and reflect on your travels. The hotel’s serene setting and attentive service provide the relaxation and comfort needed to recuperate from the demanding trip. The owner, Rigzin, is a great host and an adventure junky himself. If you need any guidance for your trip, he is the go-to guy. The staff, particularly Jimmy, is always ready to assist with whatever you need. They even prepared an early morning breakfast and had it packed by 6 am for me to take on my long trip since I mentioned I wouldn’t be able to have breakfast early.
