Moonstone Hammock Pawna

This property has been over hyped by the curlytails video and surely misleads the public who do advance booking and get trapped. The place is dirty with no views of the lake. Full of small insects and mosquitoes who will swarm over your head even during the day. I visited this property on 21-9-2023 and there was absolutely no one to attend the walk-in guests. The toilets were dirty and the restaurant area titled as "Buddha Cafe" is horrible. The very high prices of this camp is unjustified and is daylight loot. I left the place looking at the pathetic state of this property and found plenty of better options near by. If efforts are put then this place can offer good vibes but still it would be just for the sake of staying as you cannot enjoy the lake, which is the main reason to visit pawna. You cabbot even walk to the lake as this property does not touch the lake. You can find better accommodation near the lake at half the prices of moonstone hammock.

We went to this property on a weekend getaway. The property is indeed beautiful. The food is good and there’s a provision for lots of games. One thing we felt was cleanliness was not upto the mark. Also the price doesn’t justify glamours camping. It should be less, or more services should be provided. Didn’t live up to the glamorous camping expectations we had.

Positive: Fun place with surprisingly delicious food. We were a group of 11 people and we all were pleasantly thrilled at how good the food is. Staff, including Aziz, were wonderful and friendly. They take care of all details. Provide prompt and courteous service. All tents are super clean with great touches. Toilets are not 5-star, but are routinely kept clean. Negative: not the best place to go to in monsoon as you only have the tents and the ‘dining-shed’ area to spend time in. Place is very mucky due to heavy rains. But of-course for those adventurous souls who love muck and rain, Pawna itself is a beautiful location. You cannot get into the pawna reservoir as this property is not touching water. However, the positives outweigh the negatives as you will have a fun time regardless. The negatives are weather and geography related, not related to the place or their staff. We will definitely visit again in the winter when this place is probably at its best.

~Sometimes words fail to define awesomeness~ 1) Judgement: Must Visit 2) My trip connect: Vashi-Lohagad fort-Green Valley food restaurant-Moonstone Camp-Vashu (Start Sat Morning 7 and reach by 3pm on Sunday) 2) Ambience: Positives ✅: The place is lit all around, It's live music is so lit and singer is so awesome that it makes the whole stay vibrant. (Live music is available only on Saturday, so you must plan on Saturday only) The place is beautifully lit at evening and it's born fire place is superb much better than other campsites It also has great indoor and outdoor games so you don't miss out on any fun activities. High tea and morning breakfast is delicious and also quality is great. Also as this camp is a bit costly, Usual people are family people so you can surely visit with your family and friends and not worry about anything. Negatives❌: It burns your pocket as it's price is double then other camps and it doesn't includes dinner so you gotta spend a bit extra though it's dinner food has a great taste. Also this camp is not as close to lake as it is shown in most of the photos, you cannot see lake from your camp but it is a 200m walk. Also this camps are a bit muddy, so get it cleaned before you enter the camps. 3) Nearby visits: You can visit lohagad fort nearby as it is easy tek and a beautiful fort of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Also there are other fort around but it will be a heavy trek on those forts. 4) Cost: 2800-3500 per person (If you book a ground tent and not incl travel) 5) Timmings: 3.00 pm to 11 am Hope you have a great stay 😉

We had an amazing experience at Moonstone Hammock Pawna. Clean Place with very well managed team members. Polite staff, helped us providing the best experience at the camping. Delicious food with our choice of offerings. Our team enjoyed it.. Kudus to Moonstone team. We would definitely recommend others to see the lake view and enjoy camping at this place...

The place was very pretty and scenic. The temperature was definitely a few degrees lower than that of Bombay, so it's a nice weekend getaway. However, the team had goofed up a lot because they charged us for the Karjat campsite, which was considerably more than Pawna Ground Tents. If we had not realized by the team we reached there, we would've payed about 2.5k more than we should've and not gotten the service that was due. The team however did upgrade us to the hunter's nest when they realized there mistake but a lot of time and energy was lost coordinating the same. Also, when we reached there we were told that there was only our booking that day i.e. 3 girls. This is major safety concern and should be brought up before hand with the customer. Overall though, the caretakers were really nice and helped us with whatever we needed, including calling for a cab the next day. The bathrooms were quite clean for a campsite and had there been more people, the ambiance too wouldve been great.

Serene, with a whole lotta love. What I loved more than the place and the ambience, that the team has worked hard to put together, was the vibe. This place passes the vibe check and how! The friendly owners made sure we had a great time. The weather coupled with the live music was just perfect for the weekend getaway that we have been yearning for. And we woke up to the sounds of Peacocks!

It's one of those camps which are quite, pleasant, with better facilities. Food is delicious..Staff services are great. The main attraction on weekend is live music. We had a great crowd on the day we visited.
