Orchards House - The Hidden Tribe

We stayed at Orchard House in Old Manali for four nights in a private room. The hostel has a cozy, clean, and welcoming vibe, with a lovely outdoor area featuring sunny seating and a big communal table where guests gather to chat and unwind. Our room opened directly onto the outdoor common area, and while the atmosphere was great for meeting people, the noise was an issue. There didn’t seem to be any rules about noise levels, and on one night, it was loud until 3 a.m., which made it tough to get a good night's rest. Despite this, we enjoyed the friendly vibe and the comfortable setting—perfect for those looking for a social spot in Old Manali.

had a really wonderful stay in old manali at orchards. the people here are warm, welcoming, and ready to help you out with anything you need. it is a little chilly moving into winter months... the common area is really quite cozy and nice (also right next to the kitchen, so easy to order food and hangout!) and is outdoors so just bring weather appropriate clothing!

This hostel in Old Manali is a great find. Clean dorms and washrooms, comfortable beds, and a convenient location close to scenic spots and the market. It has a welcoming vibe, and the food is really good too. Definitely one of the better options for staying in Old Manali.

Best hostel I have stayed in!! The vibe is really really cool, always people hanging around to have a good time. The garden is beautiful, very peaceful. Rashmi (the manager) is one of the most helpful persons I have met, she will do everything to make your stay perfect. I don’t think there is any better place than Orchards 💜

Great hostel with amazing vibes. Feels like home and you never want to leave. The rooms are clean and the food is really good. The location is perfect, as it is only a 5 min walk to the main road, but it still feels quite isolated.

I've honestly never had a better time at a hostel than here. The rooms are fine (with thick blankets) and the included café makes delicious food. It's a bit hard to find (use OSM), the beds are a bit short for people taller than 1.78 m, and hot water is a bit tedious to get, but all this is made up for by the fantastic atmosphere. It's super easy to meet others, and there are social activities almost every day. Owner Varun and staff are so friendly and welcoming they feel more like other travellers, and they have amazing stories to tell.

We stayed here as a family - the manager was exceptional - and we very much enjoyed the communal atmosphere at the inhouse cafe. Compliments to the chefs also! The surrounding garden was an oasis in an otherwise hectic Old Manali, and the house itself is also charming. We loved staying here!

This hostel is an absolute gem. The place is spotless, with a beautiful garden, cozy common area, and a lovely cafe. The vibe and atmosphere were just perfect for me to have a relaxing stay. Rashmi, the property manager, is fantastic—super friendly and always ready to help. Loved chatting with her. Definitely a place I'd recommend and return to!
