I had an absolutely wonderful and affordable stay at Elara! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The check-in process was seamless, and they were incredibly accommodating with any requests we had.

I stayed here for 3 days with friends and I loved the stay. Very affordable, friendly staff and owner. Just opposite the villa there is a beach with a nice view.

Location is 10 min from Alleppey bus stand. The most beautiful part of this stay is that this place is just besides the beach . One can simply walk a few steps and enjoy the beach at any point of time. The stay completely reminds me of a typical Indian village house.

This homestay was absolutely fantastic, and I cannot say enough great things about it. Firstly, the owner Antony is an amazing person. He is accommodating, kind, helpful, and makes himself available for any extra requested needs we had (eg extra soap, emptying/replacing the garbage bin in the room). As an added bonus, he helped us to create an amazing itinerary for our entire two week stay in Kerala. This guy knows the area like the back of his hand, and if he doesn’t know something he has the resources to find it out for you. Secondly, Jaison who helps run the home stay is also super welcoming, warm, and helpful. He was able to help us with any immediate needs we had, and was also nice to have friendly conversation with whenever we were casually relaxing at the flat. He is a musician, and an excellent frisbee player which he put on full display at the nearby beach. Regarding the homestay itself, it has ac available. The showers worked well, and the bathroom was in good working order. The bed was very comfortable for two people (my wife and I). There was plenty of room for our baggage. Perhaps most importantly, the location of the homestay is as good as can be. It is steps away from the beach. It is also immediately across from a local beach side cafe which has excellent Indian cuisine and good service, called Catamaran. There are also plenty of other food options that are within a few minutes driving distance. If you are staying in Alapuzzha and looking for a simple, cozy, “beach house” style homestay that is affordable and with friendly atmosphere, staff, and ownership, look no further.
