Felt like home very quickly as Keegan showed me everything and giving a good introduction to all the animals and details of the place as well as activities or whatever you need to know. You’ll have the best time here if you’re looking for some (animal-)company, everything works out so easily and Keegan is a very chilled, open and helpful host. If you stay longer you shouldn’t miss Suzies food - it’s too good and she’s such a lovely person as well. Thank you for everything! I already miss the dogs so much - I’ll be back🫶🏼

This place is in my heart! I felt directly at home thanks to Keegan’s heartwarming welcome, presenting me each of the dogos and all the areas of the guesthouse. It’s so relaxing, easy going, and true caring attention for detail. I can only but recommend it! It’s important though you like dogs as you share the place in their home. I’m grateful for Keegan being so hospitable and kind, he has a lovely inspiring energy. Thank you for everything!

Wow, what an amazing place. We had the most wonderful time at Baba Lurus. Keegan is a warm, courteous and casual host. The accommodation is a dream! Clean, enchanting, bright and inviting. The accommodation is about 5 minutes away from the tourist beach mile (scooter/tuktuk), which is very pleasant and is still centrally located. This green little island was giving us a calm and peaceful place to rest, after our long and sometimes stressful India journey. After a short time it felt like a little home while traveling. The roof terrace is a gem on its own (: We will definitely check in with Baba Lurus when we are back in Varkkala and recommend this Homestay from deep of our heart! I had an amazing stay at Keegan’s place. The moment I arrived, I was welcomed by 4 dogs, greeting me, then Keegan’s first sentence was “welcome home” (we have never met before). Indeed, it felt like home. The rooms are very clean and cozy. The location is far enough from the cliff, to be able to enjoy the silence, but close enough to have a nice walk to the beach. I definitely recommend this place, if you want a different kind of experience and ONLY for the animal lovers. If you don’t like dogs, better not to choose this place!

One of the best stays ever! Keegan was incredibly hospitable and kind, making the experience even better. We had such a fun time with the friendly dogs and enjoyed mingling with the other travelers who were mostly foreigners. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would absolutely love to visit and stay again!

Baba Luru’s is truly such an incredibly special place - from the pooches who are literally pure sweetness, to our host Keegan, the entire property is a 10/10. Easy walking distance to the cliffs (nice that you aren’t in a super busy area), really clean and a cozy family feel. Highly recommend staying here!

We loved staying at Baba Luru’s. The host, Keagan, is wonderful and super helpfull. He gave us great recommendations and phone numbers to arrange a scooter, taxi, yoga and so on. The housekeeper Suzie is also great, she let us feed the goats (yes 4 goats, how cool!). And there are seven dogs that are super sweet. We loved them all but special shoutout to Banana, Taco & Peanut. The rooms are cosy, the communal spaces are very relaxing. Just an allround amazing, peaceful stay. We highly recommend this place!

Words cannot describe how much I loved this place. I was looking for a peaceful place where I could do my yoga and meditation practice, surrounded by nature and animals. I found paradise here. Keegan is the sweetest host, he brings such an incredible shining energy into the stay. He is always available to help and support for any need or question. The property is kept super clean, it's surrounded by nature and many animals dogs, chickens, a cat, goats, which make it even more magical. The big terrace at the top is so beautiful and great to do yoga/meditation/read/relax. I stayed for 2 weeks and I am looking forward to coming back to this wonderful place that feels like home. I am so greatful, thank you so much Keegan 🙏🏼
