Balaji Guest House

I stayed 3 nights at Balaji Guest House and was overall satisfied with my stay. The location is excellent, very close to Dashashvamedh Ghat, which makes it easy to explore the main sights of Varanasi and walk along the Ganga. Ashish, the owner, is welcoming, available, and helpful, and the rest of the staff was also kind and attentive. I stayed in room 303, which was spacious, comfortable, and clean. In my opinion, the room could be more practical with a few additional items such as a table, chairs, or hooks. One downside is that both the room and the bathroom had humidity issues, and there was no window opening to the outside. Hot water was not always reliable. WiFi was available, which was appreciated. However, there was no laundry service available. I felt the guesthouse could benefit from clearer rules regarding quiet hours and smoking, as it could sometimes be noisy and I occasionally noticed cigarette smells. Thank you for this stay in the heart of Varanasi!

The service of the guest house is awesome with very much reasonable price. I would highly recommend this hotel for stay in varanasi if you want to be in lap of ghats with reasonable price. And the most important thing is the perfect location of this hotel, you will be just few km from The Vishwanath Temple and just few metres from The Dashashwamedh Ghat.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel Balaji Guest House. Dust central... under the bed was filthy with dirt and dust looked like it had been forgotten about by the cleaners. Receptionists are useless and rude... Bad Cleaning standard... Poorly trained staff. poor hygiene, unclean rooms with pests like bugs and cockroaches, broken amenities such as AC or hot water, and rude behaviour of Staff.
