Southern Grand Kashi

What I like about Southern Grand @ Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor was its proximity to the temple and River. Ghats like Manikarna Ghat is just behind the hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and polite. They can also help you with passes (Rs250 each). Infact without their assistance you cannot get inside the hotel as the hotel is inside the secured zone of the Corridor. Rooms and Neat and clean. Rooms are provided with toiletries and Tea/Coffee Sachets along with Hot water jug. There is no dedicated restaurant as there are restaurants in the corridor itself. Also, street food is available at walking distance. They even have a16 Bed Mixed AC Dormitory Room with Shared Bathroom.

"Spacious Rooms but Disappointing Overall Experience" The room size at this guest house is generous, and the staff is helpful, especially when assisting with luggage, which is essential given the hotel's challenging location within the temple corridor. Without the staff's guidance, finding the place would be quite difficult. Unfortunately, the hotel's position inside the corridor adds unnecessary complexity, as guests still need to venture outside for most activities. The rooms themselves are outdated and lack the ambiance of a proper hotel, more accurately fitting the description of a guest house. The reception is particularly unhelpful, offering no useful services or accurate information, including on matters like sugam ticket availability. The beds are uncomfortable, and the interior decor is unpleasant, though the bathrooms are passable despite issues like an uneven toilet seat and a broken toilet paper holder. Overall, the experience falls short of expectations, with numerous areas in need of improvement.

This is a temple guest house rebranded as a hotel. To be honest there is nothing grand about the hotel, its rather dull. The only advantage with this is its located within the main temple complex. However, it lacks very basic facilities, no floor mats, no toiletries and not so clean rooms. In one of our rooms, air conditioner was not working properly. They werent able to fix it and they didnt even change our room for that. For the amount of money we paid for the rooms, I would expect way better service and room maintenance. They dont even have any room service available here. Conclusion: Not worth. Would suggest to book other value for money hotels outside complex who would give better service.

The most inconvinient hotel I have ever stayed! We cant get out and in as we wish, due to the security checks. The entry and exit are not at the same place. We need to carry our own luggage as they do not allow any kind of vehicle in the the temple area, which is almost around 500 meters. So so invonvinient. The rooms are really very average. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

Best place to stay in Kashi, it is just 10 steps from the temple. It is inside the Temple Corridor. The hotel is clean and tidy. The staff is helpful, they will guide you each and every step of the way. Overall it is the place to stay if in Kashi, visiting the Vishwanath Temple.

This is the best option if you want to visit kashi vishwanath and ganga arti. I stayed here for a day. Was able to view temple multiple times and spent my whole day there itself. Night i spent sitting by temple stairs. There is a small quick path which leads to dash ghat too. Clean washroom and warm water were a plus. Helpful staff helped me checkout too. Balcony was also included. Har har mahadev.

On 18th November '24 tried booking stay for next year's Dev Deepavali i.e 5th November '24 and it was showing error as ' Please Select Valid Date'. Today at 19th November '24 it is not allowing to book stay and displaying as Rooms are sold out. This hotel was trustworthy earlier , now this too have been involved in overpricing and selling the stays in black and not allowing genuine customers to book.Very Poor.

It was a nice experience with this hotel. They have some dormitories and some rooms. I stayed in a dormitory with my family. The staff was very helping and were answering all our questions. Beds were well arranged but some bed were so hard. It was very hard to reach there. The location of this hotel is inside the mandir parisar. So you have to come with an ev rikshaw. Then at the gate no.4 they will check your luggage with scaning machine. All over the location was not so good but the other things were nice.
