Avanti’s Homestay

I stayed at Avanti Homestay with friends during our visit to Guwahati and had a very pleasant experience. The property is situated in a beautiful location with a mesmerizing view of the Brahmaputra River. It is well-equipped with essential amenities, including a geyser, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, the property is quite far from the city center, which might make commuting to the main city a bit challenging. Additionally, some areas of the homestay could benefit from a fresh coat of paint, and the staff could be more attentive to cleanliness for an even better experience. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay if you’re looking for a serene and scenic environment.

The place to stay in Guwahati. The location is awesome and the rooms are quite good. Best place to enjoy your stays in Guwahati. You can prepare the food by yourself too

A perfect place for a get together, the rooms are very cosy and the view of mighty brahmaputra is breathtaking. The stay is up in the hills so the can charged a little extra but it was worth it and the food they served was very tasty and the quantity was good as well. Loved the butter chicken (must eat)

The place that was shared as pictures in a WA chat were very underwhelming in reality. We booked a 2bhk which was not similar to what was expected. The rooms were not clean and the housekeeping was not informed about our arrival. We had booked for 8 people and asked for extra beddings prior a week from our booking date which was not available and had to be asked again and again. We didn't have basic things like bucket, mugs ,toilet paper etc plus the water supply got cut twice in the evening and mid night with no response for our call. We were stuck without water at 3 in the midnight. Bad experience for a stay, not sure about considering it an option for hygiene especially for girls.

Stayed here for 14 days and had a very pleasant stay. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and the view is quite amazing. Will definitely visit when in north east India.

Had a terrible experience at this homestay. One of the worst experiences at an Air BnB in Guwahati. The number of demerits outweigh the location. 1. The washrooms were not clean. The commode seat was broken and probably has been left unnoticed for long. 2. Water was dripping from the AC. 3. The bed linen was dusty and unclean. The most troublesome thing was unavailability of water in the washrooms through the night. We kept informing about it to the care taker and he suggested us to use another washroom in some other occupant's room in the first floor. Overall the stay was really uncomfortable and not worth the amount we paid. Since the basic service like water availability was also not met, a customer should definitely be refunded for the inconveniences. Will not recommend this homestay because of the multiple issues faced by us. The owner should take a note of these points and improve the maintenance & service at the earliest.
